Apa itu Indonesia Menyala?
Indonesia Menyala adalah gerakan buku dan perpustakaan yang diinisiasikan oleh Gerakan Indonesia Mengajar.

Apa yang melatarbelakangi gerakan Indonesia Menyala?

Program perpustakaan “Indonesia Menyala” ini berawal dari hasil pengamatan sejumlah Pengajar Muda (PM) sejak mereka

ditempatkan. Mereka melihat bahwa mayoritas anak didik mereka kekurangan bahan bacaan yang bermutu.

Mengetahui betapa pentingnya buku dan melihat kebutuhan yang sangat tinggi terutama untuk teman-teman kita di pelosok Indonesia, maka Indonesia Mengajar tergerak untuk mengadakan program perpustakaan.

Dimana lokasi perpustakaan Indonesia Menyala?

Perpustakaan Indonesia Menyala nantinya akan bertempat di wilayah penempatan Pengajar Muda di 50 lokasi Sekolah Dasar (SD) di 5 kabupaten: kabupaten Paser (Kalimantan Timur), kabupaten Majene (Sulawesi Barat), kabupaten Bengkalis (Riau), kabupaten Halmahera Selatan (Maluku Utara), dan kabupaten Tulang Bawang Barat (Lampung) --- masing-masing kabupaten terdiri dari 10 lokasi penempatan.

Bagaimana bentuk perpustakaan Indonesia Menyala?

Perpustakaan Tetap adalah perpustakaan yang berisikan buku yang hanya akan digunakan di satu sekolah penempatan dan bahan-bahan tersebut akan menjadi miliki sekolah tersebut.

Perpustakaan Berputar adalah perpustakaan yang melekat pada seorang Pengajar Muda, berbentuk sebuah tas yang berisikan buku-buku yang dapat digunakan di suatu sekolah penempatan dan/atau masyarakat sekitar dalam durasi waktu tertentu dan setelahnya buku-buku tersebut akan ditukarkan ke Pengajar Muda lain yang berada dalam satu kabupaten.

Bagaimana sistem kerja gerakan Indonesia Menyala?

Program perpustakaan ini dilaksanakan dan dijalankan oleh kelompok kerja pusat (di Jakarta) dan lima kelompok kerja daerah (satu kabupaten dikelola oleh satu kelompok kerja) bekerja sama dengan PM Indonesia Mengajar. Suatu kelompok kerja difokuskan untuk mengelola dan mengembangkan perpustakaan untuk daerahnya masing-masing (misal, kelompok kerja Majene memang fokus untuk mengembangkan perpustakaan di kabupaten Majene, dst.).

Kelompok-kelompok kerja ini –disebut sebagai “Penyala”-- terbuka untuk umum, sehingga semua orang dapat bergabung ke dalam kelompok-kelompok kerja ini sebagai anggota gerakan Indonesia Menyala.

Apa yang dapat dikontribusikan oleh anggota Indonesia Menyala?

Donasi yang diberikan oleh anggota kepada masing-masing daerahnya dapat bermacam-macam, mulai dari buku dan uang melalui dropbox, tenaga, bahkan sampai pemberian ide pengembangan perpustakaan ke depannya serta kontribusi lainnya, termasuk pemberian nama perpustakaan 'milik' mereka di daerah.

Bagaimana cara bergabung dengan Indonesia Menyala?

Masyarakat di seluruh Indonesia dapat bergabung bersama kami di Indonesia Menyala, melalui halaman grup Facebook masing-masing kelompok kerja daerah.Siapapun yang mengajukan diri untuk bergabung ke dalam grup Facebook suatu kelompok kerja daerah terhitung sebagai anggota kelompok kerja daerah tersebut.

Apa yang membedakan gerakan Indonesia Menyala dengan gerakan lainnya?

1. Gerakan Indonesia Menyala memiliki pustakawan, yaitu itu para PM Indonesia Mengajar, yang ada di SD/Komunitas tersebut selama 5 tahun.
2. Indonesia Menyala bukan hanya gerakan menggalang buku tetapi juga menggalang masyarakat untuk memiliki dan mengelola perpustakaan di berbagai pelosok Indonesia.

Thread ini bisa dipastikan repost. Saya sudah pernah membaca, berkomen di beberapa thread dgn topik dan bahkan konten yg sama tahun lalu. Tapi sayang karena kurang tanggapan dan komentar trit2 tersebut pada akhirnya tenggelam ke folder archive.

Padahal pesan yg ingin disampaikan sungguh mulia.

Untuk itu saya memohon bantuan teman2 semua membuka mata & hati, untuk membaca baik2 sebuah kisah di bawah ini, menyerapi pesan yg terkandung di dalamnya, dan menyebarkannya ke teman2 yg lain.

Karena saya percaya

Kuberi dia susu instant,… tapi anakku malah jingkrak2, Mengepak-ngepakkan tangannya, persis seperti orang gila!!! Dia berputar-putar tanpa merasa lelah,… dan kemudian mengamuk ketika tidak mengerti bagaimana cara mengendalikan tubuhnya yang tidak mau diam.

Ah, sudahlah, life must go on bukan?. Besides, I’m happy to have her in my life

Kulirik sekali lagi food diarynya… hmm, hari ini aku harus mencoba memberinya 5ml putih telur tanpa kuningnya, karena 7 hari yg lalu, dia sudah sedikit kebal ketika kukenalkan pada telur ayam ini.

Baru saja hendak memasak, tiba2 kudengar jeritannya… Kucari anakku, tapi tidak kutemukan. Aku keruang setrika… dan disana kutemukan anakku sedang nangkring di atas lemari, dengan setrika panas yang menempel di punggung tangannya, yang baru saja dicabut oleh BS-nya karena kupanggil untuk membantuku memasak.

Kini, strika panas itu masih nempel diatas punggung tangan kirinya.!!!

Oh… My… God!!! *panik*

Dari punggung tangannya mengepul asap. Bau daging panggang begitu segar menempel dihidungku.

Kuangkat setrikanya… dan, aduh Tuhan,… aku tidak kuat melihatnya. Sebagian dagingnya menempel dibalik gosokan panas itu…

AAAAAARRRRGGGHHHH… Sumpah kalau saja ini bukan anakku,… Aku pasti sudah mati berdiri karena ketakutan… Melihat daging dari punggung tangannya, yang menempel pada setrika itu… itu sudah berubah menjadi putih kekuningan…

Dan luka di tangannya… juga sudah berubah menjadi putih seperti daging ayam matang

Aku menjerit sekencang-kencangnya… Kupanggil Baby sitternya yang tadi aku suruh untuk membantuku didapur… lalu dengan kesetanan, ku kebut mobilku ke UGD Rumah Sakit terdekat, untuk dirawat secara intensif.

Begitu anakku segera tertangani… tiba2 aku kehilangan seluruh tenagaku.

AKU PINGSAN!!!

Sementara darahnya terus aja mengucur deras, dia terus saja berjalan sambil mengoceh. Entah apa yang diracaukannya… Tangannya berlumuran darah… Punggung bajunya pun juga sudah berubah menjadi merah oleh darah.

Tapi dia tidak menangis… Dia hanya berjalan sambil menggaruk luka menganga yang ada dibelakang kepalanya.

Aku menjeritttt sekuat2nya. Kepalanya kututupi dengan lap kompor yang tadi aku pegang.

Tapi itupun gak lama… karena dalam sekejap, lap kompor itu sudah berubah menjadi merah kehitaman. Aku berteriak panik,…

“mbak, minta handuk… handuk… darahnya tambah banyak. Cepat mbak… CEPATTTT!!!”

*panik semua panik kayak orang lagi kena kebakaran*

Dan lagi2 kukebut mobilku ke rumah sakit, langsung menuju UGD. Disana, dokter yang sudah terbiasa menangani anakku sudah siap menunggu dan segera menjahit kepala anakku.

Dia tidak menangis sama sekali… hanya minta sesuatu yang bulat untuk dia pegang. Dan setelah dijahit dengan 8 (delapan) jahitan… Hatikupun sedikit lega. Seluruh persendianku serasa dicopot dari tubuhku, dan tanpa sadar…Lagi-lagi aku hilang keseimbangan…

AKU PINGSAN

“Tuh,… liat tuh sill… autis banget khan dia…? Kayak ANAK LOE khan yah?

“Loe marahin deh sil… marahin sil…”

“Coba loe terapi dulu nih dia,… biar sembuh kayak anak loe”

Dan semua lalu tertawa terbahak-bahak…

Saya???… hmmm… Cuma bisa senyum kecut, karena tidak ingin merusak suasana Pesta Ulang Tahun sahabat saya… *doh*

Well, saya tahu mereka hanya bercanda, namun biar bagaimanapun,… Saya sudah merasakan dan tahu betul sulitnya membesarkan anak autistik. Jadi saya mengerti ketika ada teman yang resist begitu mendengar kata ini.

Semoga artikel ini semakin mencerahkan teman-teman mengapa orang sepertinya terlalu over campaign dengan gerakan “Stop Using Autism on our daily jokes” ini. Semoga berkenan.

Membaca bbrp komentar tampaknya ada yg masih kurang paham mengenai maksud trit ini.
Menghina anak/orang autis secara langsung memang sangat tdk pantas & sama sekali tdk dibenarkan.
Namun yg saya titik beratkan melalui trit ini adl kecenderungan orang akhir2 ini,
yg enteng melontarkan joke bahkan makian kpd orang lain dgn kata autis.

Setelah membaca kisah di atas, apakah layak menggunakan istilah autis buat lucu-lucuan ?

Apakah serendah itu arti kata autis di mata mereka ? sehingga istilah itu disamakan dgn istilah2 yg tdk pantas bahkan makian ?
Apakah layak istilah autis dipakai utk menggambarkan perilaku2 yg dipersepsikan sebagai perilaku negatif dari seseorang ?

whwn you 1st time came to korea, its feel disaster when you are hungry and when you look at the menu... OMG... i cant read thus hangeul... so its just like doing mini many moe to this menu, well dont worry, i'd just give some list that usually help alot when you are in Korean restaurant

Menus are always in Korean. At the orange facade joints (Kimbap Nara or KimBap Chungguk) check off your order on a paper menu like the one pictured below. White facade restaurants ( Kim Ga Nae) are “well being”-ish kimbap diners, and simply have the menu on the wall. The ajuma or ajushi will verbally take your order.

Here I have roughly translated a kimbap Nara Menu. Many of these restaurants offer the exact same menus save for a couple of dishes, so study up or copy, paste, and keep it in your wallet. Items are numbered on the menu, you’ll find the corresponding number below with the Hangul, then English, the price (1,000 won = 1 USD), and a quick description. I’ve starred my favorites incase you’re in the market to order something new.

김밥류, Kimbap Ryu, Kimbap selections

1. 원조 김밥, Wonjo Kimbap, W1000
The most basic of Kimbap, fillings include damuji (a yellow pickled sweet radish), processed ham, carrots, some green, maybe spinach, and cooked egg.

2. 야채 김밥, Yachae Kimbap, Vegetable Kimbap, W2000
Filled with various veggies including carrots and spinach. Little variation from Won-jo Kimbap.

3. 김치 김밥, Kimchi Kimbap, W2000
Standard kimbap fillings (ham, eggs, carrots, radish) with a healthy dose of kimchi.

4. 계란말이 김밥, Kaeranmal Kimbap, Egg wrapped Kimbap W2500
Standard fillings. The kimbap is rolled in a thin omelet, then sliced.

Standard kimbap fillings including a slice of processed cheese.

Hi guys, sebelumnya minta maaf kalau postingan saya kali ini roaming untuk sebagian dari kalian. Dan gua akui~, ini salah satu postingan tergeje saya karena saya sadar sebagian besar orang yang saya temui adalah orang-orang yang berbahasa Indonesia. Why? Karena malem ini entah kenapa gua gatel pingin berautis ria dengan bahasa Jepang. ==’ Topik yang lama sekali tidak saya bahas semenjak saya masuk kuliah. Dan saya lagi pengin cerita tentang kanken (abbr. Nihon Kanji Nouryoku Kentei 日本漢字能力検定 a.k.a. sejenis TOEIC bahasa Jepang khusus bagian reading). Dan memang pangsa pasar topik ini adalah bagi mereka penikmat kanji. Yah, semoga saja ada orang yang sejalan dengan saya yang nyasar ke sini karena berhubungan dengan topik ini. Wkwkwkwkwk…

Dulu pas SMA, pas lagi pede-pedenya baru khatam ngapalin Touyou Kanji 当用漢字 dan beberapa Jouyougai 常用外, beuh~ saya lagaknya nggak ketulungan. Untuk menjaga image, setiap kali ngeliat tulisan berbentuk sejenis cacing, saya akan selalu berusaha untuk tidak memandang deretan huruf itu terlalu lama dan sesegera mungkin memandang ke arah lain dengan harapan saya sudah paham apa yang dimaksud tulisan geje itu. Walau sering banyak nggak pahamnya. Wkwkwkwkw… Dodol banget dah.

Sampai akhirnya ada orang yang ngenalin ke saya maenan yang namanya kanken. Dan iseng-iseng saya mencoba membaca soalnya yang tersedia di situs resminya di sini. Jrerereng~! Berikut reka ulangnya jika dijadikan percakapan.

“Eh, ada ya test laen selain Nouryoku Shiken 能力試験 (red, kalau tadi sejenis TOEIC, ini sejenis TOEFL)?”

Saat itu di pikiran saya 2000 kanji Jepang itu sudah sangat wah untuk dipakai (NB. kalau China 3000 kanji). Dan dengan semangat kepedean yang luar biasa saya coba baca testnya. Berikut adalah baris pertama yang agak sangat membekas di ingatan saya pada hari itu.

Sampai di sini saya rada mengernyit. Karena terlalu banyak huruf hiragana yang menurut saya sangat redundan. Pikir saya saat itu masak test kanji nggak serius gini nulis kanjinya. Kalau dengan metode sotoy, harusnya instruksi di atas ditulis dengan lebih efisien sebagai berikut.

Spontan mulut saya ternganga nggak tahu harus ngomong apaan. (Bagi anda yang paham tulisan Jepang pasti paham perasaan saya kenapa saya ternganga. ^^;) Bener-bener di luar dugaan. Instruksi soal yang ditulis dengan innocentnya bak anak SD kebanyakan, ternyata dengan suksesnya menipu isi soal sebenarnya. Terbengong saya membaca sepenggal kalimat yang nongol di pojok kanan sendiri dengan jumlah huruf nggak lebih dari 8. Alamakjoooongggg….!

“Tralala banget kan?”
“Bwahahahahahaha!!!”

Spontan saya ngakak dengan lebaynya.

Soal 1; hanya satu kata yang saya tahu cara bacanya, tayoru 頼る. Btw, walau saya agak bisa menerka-nerka arti dua kata di depan, saya benar-benar belum pernah melihat huruf-huruf itu digandeng sedemikian rupa sehingga cara bacanya bener-bener unidentified. Ini huruf di depan ini miko 巫女… Terus 覡 ini dibaca gen gitu? 巫覡 = migen? Lah, tapi kan miko itu cara baca trivial. Terus 詫　ini dibaca wabi atau taku? 詫宣 = wabisen atau takusen? Bukannya takusen itu tulisannya 託宣 gini ya?

OMG, saya malah merenungi huruf-huruf yang nggak ditanyakan soalnya. Karena penasaran saya coba melihat 29 kalimat sisa di sebelah kiri.

Oh Tuhan… Saya cuman bisa bengong dan melotot. Blas~… Gatot! Gagal total~, nggak ada yang yakin gua bisa baca kata-kata yang warna merah itu. Saya pun tobat saat itu tidak akan sombong lagi. Wokwokwok… Dan semakin ke bawah soalnya semakin geje segeje-gejenya. Kanji-kanji sebelum PD II keluar juga.

Berikut instruksi-instruksi selanjutnya bin geje bin membosankan bin monoton dengan tema yang nggak jauh-jauh amat. “Coba tebak huruf kanji dari huruf kata-kata yang ditulis katakana ini.” “Coba tulis kanji versi jepang dari kata-kata ini.” “Coba cari huruf yang seharusnya bisa ditulis pake kanji versi lama.” “Ini bacaannya apa?” “Coba tulis kanjinya dari dua kata homofon ini.”

Dan ini contoh soal homofon.

Jawabannya, kalau yang pertama, カクシャク = 矍鑠. Adapun yang kedua, カクシャク = 赫灼. Begitulah kata kunci jawaban.

Hih~! Kalau yang ini artinya aja gua nggak ngerti. -_-”

Soal bagian jukujikun ama ateji 熟字訓・当て字 (red, huruf-huruf yang klo ketemu sama huruf-huruf tertentu jadi trivial bunyinya) juga nggak nanggung-nanggung tingkat kedodolannya. Berikut adalah kunci jawaban soal yang menurut saya lumayan berkesan.

熟字訓・当て字

Yap, jukujikun ama ateji adalah episode pemaksaan cara baca kanji yang menurut gua paling tralala dibanding pemaksaan cara baca kanji-kanji yang lainnya. Untuk bodo-bodoan, seinget gua, 鳳 dibaca ootori atau hou, dan 梨 bisa dibaca nashi atau ri. Jadi, seharusnya 鳳梨 paling nggak dibaca houri. Dan gua nggak tahu siapa yang duluan ngasih ide 鳳梨 dibaca sebagai painappuru a.k.a. pineapple versi katakana. ==’ Kemudian 善知鳥. Seinget gua nggak ada satupun on’yomi yang memungkinan untuk membaca 善 = u, 知 = to, 鳥 = u. Seharusnya, 善 = zen, 知 = chi, 鳥 = chou. Atau kalau maksa, 善知 = u, 鳥 = tou. Tapi, kalau mau konsisten harusnya kan tou ditulis pake huruf shima 島. Ntah vava. ==’ Dan terakhir, mil, satuan jarak, ditulis dengan 哩. Padahal akan lebih terasa oriental jika tetap dibaca sebagai ri, bukan dibaca versi inggris katakananya, mairu. Tapi ntah vava juga. Mengingat kanji 瓩 ini dibaca sebagai kiroguramu a.k.a kilogram dan 糎 dibaca sebagai senchimetooru a.k.a centimeter.

Lebay tralala nih test. Maniak doang keknya yang doyan test-test beginian. Dan belakangan saya mahfum, soal yang ditunjukkin ke saya itu memang soal buat para kanji freak level 1.

Berdasarkan definisi; Level 1: Menguasai 6000 kanji, baik berbagai macam versi cara baca on dan kun, dan tahu penggunaan paling tepat dalam kalimat. Level semi-1: Menguasai 3000 kanji, tralala dan tralala. Level 2: Menguasai kanji SD, SMP, dan SMA, tralala dan tralala. dst… dsb… dll… Level 10: Menguasai kanji kelas 1 SD.

Waow~… Yang bikin orangnya gimana ya. ==’

OK… fugeki dan migen itu jauh sekali bedanya kalau didengar…

Pelajaran yang saya dapat di sini adalah, mari kita buang sampah pada tempatnya… ==’ Emmm, salah… Yang bener, walau paham maksud dan arti suatu kata, tapi belum tentu tahu gimana cara bacanya. Dan satu lagi, jangan percaya dengan cara baca kanji on’yomi parsial (walau kadang-kadang boleh juga sih). Terbukti, 覡 tidak sama cara baca on’nya dengan on milik 現. Dan test ini akan terus mempermainkan ingatan dengan kanji-kanji mirip yang sama sekali nggak persis cara bacanya. Btw, nice try wae lah.

Dan saya masih belum kebayang jika yang keluar kanji 生. Down lah kalau yang ini.

Hah… Menurut saya, kanken memang tampaknya mengasyikkan. Tapi khusus untuk level semi-1 dan level 1, tampaknya itu semacam game kuat-kuatan menghapal kanji. Dan, kanji Jepang sendiri menurut saya sudah cukup menyiksa untuk dihapalkan 2000 huruf ke atas. Jadi yah… ahahaha… bagi kalian yang pengguna kanji baik China maupun Jepang, apresiasilah kanji sewajarnya. Toh kanji juga akhir-akhirnya akan kita nikmati sebagai “cerita bergambar”.

Oh, gua barusan nemu video asyik buat yang lagi belajar kanji Jepang. Lumayan buat refreshing 1945 kanji-kanji dasar yang dipakai sehari-hari.

Wayang is an Indonesian word for theatre When the term is used to refer to kinds of puppet theater, sometimes the puppet itself is referred to as wayang. Performances of shadow puppet theater are accompanied by gamelan in Java, and by "gender wayang" in Bali.

UNESCO designated Wayang Kulit, a shadow puppet theater and the best known of the Indonesian wayang, as a Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity on 7 November 2003. In return of the acknowledgment, UNESCO demanded Indonesia to preserve their heritage.

Wayang kulit, shadow puppets prevalent in Java and Bali in Indonesia, are without a doubt the best known of the Indonesian wayang. Kulit means skin, and refers to the leather construction of the puppets that are carefully chiseled with very fine tools and supported with carefully shaped buffalo horn handles and control rods.

The stories are usually drawn from the Ramayana, the Mahabharata or the Serat Menak.

There is a family of characters in Javanese wayang called Punakawan; they are sometimes referred to as "clown-servants" because they normally are associated with the story's hero, and provide humorous and philosophical interludes. Semar is the father of Gareng (oldest son), Petruk, and Bagong (youngest son). These characters did not originate in the Hindu epics, but were added later, possibly to introduce mystical aspects of Islam into the Hindu-Javanese stories. They provide something akin to a political cabaret, dealing with gossip and contemporary affairs.

The puppet figures themselves vary from place to place. In Central Java the city of Surakarta (Solo) is most famous and is the most commonly imitated style of puppets. Regional styles of shadow puppets can also be found in West Java, Banyumas, Cirebon, Semarang, and East Java. Bali produces more compact and naturalistic figures, and Lombok has figures representing real people. Often modern-world objects as bicycles, automobiles, airplanes and ships will be added for comic effect, but for the most part the traditional puppet designs have changed little in the last 300 years.

Wayang Kulit is a unique form of theatre employing light and shadow. The puppets are crafted from buffalo hide and mounted on bamboo sticks. When held up behind a piece of white cloth, with an electric bulb or an oil lamp as the light source, shadows are cast on the screen.

Wayang Kulit plays are invariably based on romantic tales, especially adaptations of the classic Indian epics, "The Mahabarata" and "The Ramayana". Some of the plays are also based on local happenings (current issues) or other local secular stories. It is up to the conductor or "Tok Dalang" to decide his direction.

Historically, the performance consisted of shadows cast on a cotton screen and an oil lamp. Today, the source of light used in wayang performance in Java is most often a halogen electric light. Some modern forms of wayang such as Wayang Sandosa created in the Art Academy at Surakarta (STSI) has employed spotlights, colored lights and other innovations.

The handwork involved in making a wayang kulit figure that is suitable for a performance takes several weeks, with the artists working together in groups. They start from master models (typically on paper) which are traced out onto kulit (skin or parchment), providing the figures with an outline and with indications of any holes that will need to be cut (such as for the mouth or eyes). The figures are then smoothed, usually with a glass bottle, and primed. The structure is inspected and eventually the details are worked through. A further smoothing follows before individual painting, which is undertaken by yet another craftsman. Finally, the movable parts (upper arms, lower arms with hands and the associated sticks for manipulation) mounted on the body, which has a central staff by which it is held. A crew makes up to ten figures at a time, typically completing that number over the course of a week.

The painting of less expensive puppets is handled expediently with a spray technique, using templates, and with a different person handling each color. Less expensive puppets, often sold to children during performances, are sometimes made on cardboard instead of leather.

Banyak diantaranya merupakan sekuel atau prekuel film sukses sebelumnya. Ini dia 10 film pilihan terbatas yang masuk dalam daftar film prioritas yang akan saya tonton tahun ini (moga-moga selera saya selaras pula dengan selera anda):

Green Hornet (Januari 2011) :
Seth Rogen (Knocked Up, Pinneaple Express) berperan sebagai Britt Reid pahlawan bertopeng Green Hornet dalam film yang diarahkan oleh sutradara Michael Gondry ini. Britt adalah putra seorang pemilik surat kabar dan dalam aksinya ia ditemani oleh karyawan ayahnya, Kato (peran ini pernah dimainkan pula oleh alm. Bruce Lee) yang diperankan oleh artis Taiwan, Jay Chou. Dikisahkan dalam film yang diangkat dari serial Radio ciptaan George W Trendle berjudul sama dan akan rilis pertengahan Januari ini, Sejak kematian ayahnya yang misterius, Britt Reid,anak pemilik surat kabar terkenal di Los Angeles yang dulunya adalah pemuda yang senang berhura-hura akhirnya menyadari bisa berbuat sesuatu yang bermakna untuk hidup. Fast and Furious V (April 2011) :
Vin Diesel dan Paul Walker akan kembali beraksi dalam film kebut-kebutan mobil dengan adegan-adegan berbahaya memacu adrenalin yang disutradarai oleh Justin Lin dan skenarionya ditulis oleh Chris Morgan ini. Petualangan Dominic Toretto dan Brian O’Conner yang melarikan diri dari petugas hukum akan menjadi daya tarik film yang akan dirilis pada akhir April 2011 ini.

Kungfu Panda II (Mei 2011) :
Sekuel Kungfu Panda ini dipastikan akan menarik banyak penonton untuk menyaksikannya di bioskop. Po (suaranya diisi oleh Jack Black) Sang pendekar Panda menghadapi Lord Shen (Gary Oldman) yang memiliki sebuah senjata rahasia yang sangat berbahaya. Lord Shen terobsesi untuk menguasai seluruh negeri dan berencana menghancurkan ilmu bela diri Kung Fu. Po mendapat bantuan dari The SoothSayer (Michelle Yeoh), Master Skunkman (James Woods), Master Croc (Jean-Claude Van Damme), dan Master Thundering Rhino oleh (Victor Garber) . Pirates of Caribbean : On the Strangers Tide (Mei 2011)
Kapten Jack Sparrow (Johny Deep) berpetualang bersama Angelica (Penelope Cruzz) mencari mata air kehidupan yang konon tidak membuat seseorang bertambah tua sedikitpun. Masalah kian runyam ketika Jack menyadari bahwa Angelica tak lain adalah putri dari bajak laut Blackbeard (Ian McShane), musuh besar Jack Sparrow. Tapi perjalanan sudah dimulai dan Jack tak akan mengurungkan niatnya sedikitpun untuk melaksanakan niatnya.

X-Men : First Class (Juni 2011) :
Penggemar Wolverine (diperankan oleh Hugh Jackman) mesti bersiap-siap kecewa dalam film yang merupakan prekuel dari film-film X-Men sebelumnya karena tokoh tersebut tidak muncul dalam film ini. X-Men : First Class memang mengisahkan awal mula epik X-Men yakni mengangkat masa muda Charles Xavier dan Erik Magnus Lensherr sebelum didirikannya Xavier School For Gifted Youngster . School of Mutant Resources mereka dirikan seusai menamatkan sekolah di Oxford untuk meneliti dan mempelajari fenomena baru yang terjadi pada manusia yaitu "homo superior", yaitu manusia jenis mutan yg memiliki gen X. Siswa yang belajar di sekolah khusus itu awalnya adalah Jean Grey, Scott Summers, Hank McCoy, Ororo Munroe, Raven Darkholme, Mortimer Toynbee dan Emma Frost. Perbedaan pemahaman dan idealisme membuat kedua sahabat ini menuai konflik hingga akhirnya justru menjadi seteru yang saling menghancurkan.

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, Part 2 (Juli 2011) :
Ini adalah film yang ditunggu-tunggu oleh para penggemar Harry Potter sebagai edisi pamungkas rangkaian film Harry Potter sebelumnya, setelah sebelumnya mengikuti episode pertama menjelang akhir tahun 2010. Film ini masih tetap diperankan oleh Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint.

Transformers 3 : Dark Of The Moon (Juli 2011) :
Dua serial film Transformers sebelumnya berhasil menuai sukses besar dan pada episode ketiga ini para penggemar Megan Fox harus siap-siap kecewa karena artis sexy yang pada 2 episode sebelumnya berperan sebagai Mikaela Banes, kekasih sang tokoh utama, Sam Witwicky, tidak terlibat dalam Transformer 3. Meski tanpa Megan Fox lagi, film ini kembali akan menggelar aksi-aksi spektakuler dan efek sinematografi canggih lebih dashyat dari 2 film sebelumnya. Jadi bersiaplah saksikan kehebatan robot Optimus Prime, Bumble Bee, Iron Hide, Ratchet, Sides Wipes,Megatron, Starscream, dan Soundwave berjibaku dalam film ini.

Captain America : The First Avenger (Agustus 2011)
Chris Evans pemeran manusia api dalam film “Fantastic Four” akan berperan sebagai Steve Rogers alias Captain America. The Ijen volcano complex is a group of stratovolcanoes, in East Java, Indonesia. It is inside a larger caldera Ijen, which is about 20 kilometers wide. The Gunung Merapi stratovolcano is the highest point of that complex. (not to be confused with Mount Merapi, Central Java aka Gunung Merapi)

West of Gunung Merapi is the Ijen volcano, which has a one-kilometer-wide turquoise-colored acid crater lake. The lake is the site of a labor-intensive sulfur mining operation, in which sulfur-laden baskets are carried by hand from the crater floor. Many other post-caldera cones and craters are located within the caldera or along its rim. The Arch bishop Job Change Ragnarok Quest rewards you to become an arch bishop and you could get some cool equipments. Plus, you will be able to use the valkyrie mercenary scroll that is exclusive only to the Archbishop Job Change Ragnarok Quest

1. Start the Archbishop Job Change Quest in Prontera Church. Inside, speak with the Praying Minister (prt_church 103, 88). Tell him you would like to go on a Holy Pilgrimage. He will instruct you to find Priest Dayan and tell him some exact words in Umbala.

2. Go to Prince Dayan in Umbala(umbala 139, 227) (From Comodo ->Umbala through Kafra). Tell him I’m here for the Holy Pilgrimage (without period) You have to say the exact words. He mentions of the Yggdrasil being the holiest place in the world. Talk to him again and ask him how you should pray which you have to take note of. The first way is the way of meditation, second is agony, third is way of joy and lastly, way of light. He will then instruct you to go to yggdrasil dungeon.

3. With the Holy Water in your inventory, enter the top portal in Umbala and you will be warped inside the Yggdrasil tree. You need to have a mass inside that place. Go to (yggdrasil01 219,47) spot. To go there, head north on a two way road. Then, head the farthest south on the next three way road. The farthese south place is kind of obscure from your screen’s view. When you reach the place, choose the way of meditation as the first way. Next, you will be asked on the faults that you had which you can enter anything. After you finish the song of Gloria, you will be warped back to Priest Dayan.

4. Speak with Priest Dayan and he will ask you to talk a nun in Hugel named Vinue.

5. Go to Hugel [through Juno Airship], and enter the church(hugel 158, 113), walk north and you will immediately find a Praying Nun (hu_in01 205,204). Talk to her and ask her about a dream. Offer to investigate for her in the Odin Shrine.

6. Go to Odin Shrine Level 2 and one you get there, the location is marked on your mini map on where the Valkyrie Illusion (odin_tem02 281, 275) is.

7. Continue the Archbishop Job Change Ragnarok Quest by touching the Valkyrie Illusion and you will be warped inside a room.

8. Talk to the Valkyrie and agree to help her. She will give you a Valkyrie Mercenary scroll. If you can’t locate any valkyrie in the room, it means that someone is currently doing the Archbishop Job Change Quest and you have to wait.

9. Summon the Valkyrie Mercenary immediately once you will be warped into the arch bishop job change job map. If your mercenary dies or you have failed to summon it, you need t restart the arch bishop job change job map battle part.

10. The Undead Valkyrie is marked on your mini map (northwest corner. After killing the Undead valkyrie, pick up the two Broken Pipe she drops. Dismiss your Valkyrie Ragnarok Mercenary by using ctrl +R, then choose Dismiss.

11. Speak with the Valkyrie(114, 328) that spawned. She will give you another mercenary scroll. She tells you to find the last piece.

12. Summon your Valkyrie Mercenary once more and get the last broken pipe by killing the Undead Valkyrie. It is at the south end of your map as marked on your minimap.

13. Another Valkyrie will spawn, and she will assemble all the broken piece that you got. She then tells you to the center of the map which is top of the hill.

14. Just do not mind the Frus that will come after you. Walk pass them. Just don’t walk too fast to the Valkyrie or you might disconnect.

15. Walk near the Valkyrie and she will change your job into an Archbishop. You will receive Mitra [1] and Green Apple Ring as part of your Arch bishop Job Change Quest Rewards.

The Ragnarok Rune Knight Job Change Quest is one fun and challenging Ragnarok Quest. The objective of rune knight job change quest is to introduce you to runes and magic. You need to learn about the 20 Runes - which is lot to remember. But fear not! The Ragnarok Rune Knight guide is here. The secret in the rune knight job change quest is pots, bring a lot of pots. Also, you will discover the secret gathering place of Rune Knights inside the Glast Heim castle.

Ragnarok Rune Knight Job Change Quest

1. Start the Rune Knight Job Change Quest in Prontera pub and speak with the Splendid Lookin Knight (prt_in 164, 23). Agree to have a drink with him and tell him that you are ready to become a Rune Knight. He will direct you to Glast Heim where a Rune Knight is waiting for you.

2. Go to Glast Heim, and at the left side of the map, you shall find Jungberg (glast_01 43, 361). Tell him you came as a Rune Knight. Your first assignment is to find the secret gathering place hidden inside the Glast Heim.

3. The secret gathering place is in level 2 of glast heim chivalry. Enter the Glast Heim Chivalry and speak with the Rune Knight staff (gl_knt02 144, 53). He will automatically warp you inside the gathering place. You can use the ff guide on How to go to Glast Heim Chivalry 2

4. Speak with the Rune Knight Captain(81, 60) and he directs you to Lunarea.

5. Speak with Rune Knight Lunarea (89, 50) and she will give you your first test. Do not start the test right away. The secret gathering place has its own kafra. Restock your pots as you will fight monsters for about 5 minutes. Talk to Lunarea when you are ready.

6. You will be warped in the test field. Monsters such as Raydrics, Raydric Archers, Rideword, Rybio and Phendark will appear and there are about 2-4 of them every time. Sometimes 4 Rune Knights will appear, choose only one among them and he or she shall give you a random buff. It can be a harmful buff or not, it is a matter of luck. I got a heal, agility up, stun and cursed. So it would be wise to bring a Green Potion, Royal Jelly as well. I think the sequence was,Raydrics & Raydric Archers, Rideword, then Rybio & Phendark, back to Radrics & Raydric Archers again and so on.

7. After successfully killing all the monsters, you will be warped back to the secret area. Speak with Lunarea again and she says you passed.

8. Speak with Rune Knight Captain again, and he will direct you to the west side of the room

9. In the west side of the room, you will find another Rune Knight named Renoa. She will ask you to read three books about Runes and Rune Knight.

10. Take your time to read the books, you do not have to memorize anything as I already have the guide here for the next test but it would help you to understand what Rune Knights are. The books are Runes and Rune Knights

11. After reading the book, speak with Reona and she will mention about Beljeve, the leader of Rune Knights who is known to have been in touch with the fairies. For the second test, you need to visit one of the Laphine magical scholars named Serpeone in Ash Vacuum. If you are prepared, speak with Reona again and she will directly warp you to Ash Vacuum.

12. You will be automatially warped near Sage Serpeone, she will ask you to gather magical energy by killing 10 Dullahan, 10 Disguise, 10 Quve, and 10 Hylozoist.

13. Use a Butterfly wing to go back to your save point, and navigate your war to Umbala. From Morocc, take Comodo, them Umbala and exit the top portal. The best place to kill the assigned 40 monsters is in nif_fild01. Hylozoist is the toughest monster to find.

You will keep track of your killing through a counter on your chat bar or you could check on your quest window (Alt + U)

14. After killing the 40 monsters, you can go back to Ash Vacuum by asking Renoa again in the secret gathering place of Rune Knight.

15. Tell Sage Serpeone that you have gathered enough energy. Talk to her again and ask her to warp to the gathering place, tell her you want you go back now and you will be back in Glast Heim

16. Speak with Renoa again and she will give you another test of making 20 Rune Stones.

17. Click the Rune Furnace beside her and start making Rune Stones. Choose Use the rune heating surface and a random rune stone description will appear. You have to guess what Rune Stone it is. You must key in the Rune Stone’s name with the first name capitalized. The Rune Stone that you make is random, meaning that you may make the same rune stones a number of times.

18. Tell Reona if you have made 20 Rune Stones, he will direct you to the Rune Knight Captain again. The Ragnarok Rune Knight Job Change Test is almost over.

19. Speak with the Rune Knight captain and he will direct you to Rune Knight Velpino in the east room for your last test.

20. Have a chat with Rune Knight Velpino for your last test. You have to get rid of 1 Ogretooth , 1 Executioner , and 1 Mysteltainn using the Rune Stones you made on the previous test. The weapon that you could use should be below 400. He will ask you to unequip all your gears except your weapon.

21. There is a kafra in the gathering place where you could get rid of your other stuffs. Just leave your weapon. You can carry potions. 50-60 Slim White Potions or Mastela will do as long as the weight of your character is less than 400

22. Speak with Velpino again and he will provide you with 30 Pertz Runestone for Apprentice and 30 Verkana Runestone for Apprentice. When you are ready, Enter the final test field.

23. The monsters would spawn one after another. Verkana Runestone for Apprentice activates Millenium Shield which adds Int + 2 for about 3 minutes. The Pertz Stone for Apprentice activates Storm Blast which damages the enemy. It would be wise to activate the Millenium Shield upon entering the test area. If you ran out of Pertz Stone, you can fight the monster in a combat battle. Consume all your Pertz Stone for Apprentice. There might be a few Verkana Runestone for Apprentice that would be left. After killing the three monsters, you will be automatically warped back to the gathering place

24. Speak with Velpino and he will take away the Runestone left in your inventory. Speak with him again until he directs you to the Rune Knight Captain.

25. Speak with Captain Tigris and he will evaluate your results from Lunarea, Renoa and Velpino. You passed and he will ask you to get rid of your Peco Peco. Speak with him once more and tell him Every preparation is done. He will change your job into a Rune Knight and gives you 1 Green Apple Ring, 1 Rune Circlet [1]. Speak with him again to get a 1 Rune Plate. Congratulations for finishing the Ragnarok Rue Knight Job Change Quest! Rune Knights look weird, haha!

Ragnarok Mechanic Quest Tips

While doing the Ragnarok Mechanic Job Change Quest, you will learn about the history of Mechanics. Mechanic is actually all about the study and use of magic and machinery. It is actually easy to change job into a Ragnarok Mechanic compare to other Ragnarok Quests.

Bring a lot of fly wings, blue potions and white potions. Dimiks are easy to kill in Juperos but a mob could easily kill you. Bring yourself a garment compounded with Frilldora Card so you could use the Cloaking Level 1 skill. Cloaking consumes SP so you need a lot of Blue Potions with you.

Ragnarok Mechanic Job Change Quest

1. Go to Juno and speak with Chainheart (129, 156). He tells you about the history of Mechanics. Read his story to know an in depth view of Ragnarok Mechanics. Speak with him again and you will learn that it was Franklson, a scholar from the Schwaltzvalt Republic who is the pioneer of Mechanics. Speak with him for the third time and choose I want to know more. You Ragnarok Mechanic Job Change Quest now officially begins.

2. Enter the Juperos Ruins [from Juno, exit the south portal, then south, then east] The entrance to the Juperos Ruins is at the center of yuno_fild07.

3. Walk straight the Juperos Cave and speak with the Scholar(jupe_cave 37, 55) to warp you to the midway point to Juperos. Speak with him again if you are ready to go.

4. Upon warping inside the Juperos Core, you would initially see the Ghostfire (jupe_core2 149, 273). He needs your “full concentration” when talking to him. Either kill all the monsters first or you can use Cloaking. Just click on Next when speaking with him.

5. The next part of the Ragnarok Mechanic Job Change Quest is to speak with the ghostfire(jupe_core2 53, 75) at the southwest part of the map. If you are using the cloaking skill, from north, walk straight down, then go west you reach the center.

6. Speak with the last ghostfire (jupe_core2 242, 62) at the southeast part of the map.

7. Next, head back to west and stand on the switch (jupe_core2 29, 150). A pop up message will appear, just click on next.

8. Head to the east part of the map and activate another switch (jupe_core2 272, 149).

9. Walk a little to the right and go to the south part of the status (jupe_core2 288, 142) to activate another message. Note that if you die before going to the statue, you have to repeat from step no 7.

10. Go to the switch (jupe_core2 150, 33) to the south.

11. Head to the ghostfire in the north again and he will teleport you back to Yuno.

12. Speak with Chainheart and he shall turn you into a Ragnarok mechanic.

Ragnarok Ranger Job Change Quest Tips

The Ragnarok Ranger Job Change Quest is just like the Hunter Job Change Quest but this is far more challenging as you have to pass three different stages and requires a lot of concentration. I died a number of times upon doing this quest as I do not have proper Ragnarok Ranger Job Change guide. Hopefully this will help you out so you would be able to finish the Ragnarok Ranger Job Change Quest in just one try.

I really do suggest to be a Level 99 Sniper first before changing into a Ranger. The Wind Walk skill would certainly help you a lot most especially in the second part of the Ranger Job Change Quest.

Make sure you have done the How to go to Turtle Island Ragnarok quest first as the NPCs are in Turtle Island.

Ragnarok Ranger Job Change Quest

1. Start the Ranger Job Change Quest by speaking with the Survival Instructor in Alberta. Tell him I came here to change job to a Ranger. If you are a hunter, he will ask you if you really want to be a Ranger. He will ask you to lower your weight into 0 and warps you back to Alberta.

2. The Survival Instructor will not speak with you if you do not have a weight of 0. The first test is a survival test, your goal is to reach the test instructor in the northwest side of Turtle Island. Talk to him when you want to take the test already, and he will provide you with 10 Fly Wings, 500 Arrows and 1 Test Bow.

3. Navigate your way to the Test Instructor. Use the fly wings first to get near him. Or if you are unlucky enough and die on the process, you will be warped back on your save point. There, you can restock and make your way to the Test Instructor again. But, before talking to the Test Instructor, make sure you have dropped the unnecessary items in your inventory. Also, for the extra arrows left in your inventory, leave at least 10 or 20 . Just leave your bow equipped and some fly wings that they originally gave you. Speak with the Test Instructor, named Teardrop if he sees that your weight is more than the usual, he will think you are cheating and warp you back to the Survival Instructor and you must start again. Tell Teardrop that came to him for the test. But, he’s hungry and wants a 1 Wing of Dragonfly from you. If you already have the wing of Dragonfly in your inventory it will not count. You have to kill one.

4. Kill one Dragonfly and give it to Teardrop. Just tell him to eat up and he will debrief you about the Ranger Job Change Quest which is consists of three parts. If you are ready, tell him let’s go to the practical test field and he will warped you in the test area and provide you with 100 Arrows.

5. Enter the practical test waiting pub. If there are other characters who wish to take the test, you have to wait.

6. The first test is how keen your eyes are. All monsters are of Poring class and you have to get rid of monsters named ‘Poring’ among the monsters from 8 places. You have to kill 15 out of 20 monsters. You will get a huge deduction on your points if you kill a monster that is not named Poring. This is a test of concentration and quickness. My tip is to start from the upper right then move your mouse clockwise. if you see a Poporing or Marin that is named Poring, use Double Strafe so you could kill them before they disappear. You only have 5 secs to find and kill the monster named Poring.

If you fail to kill 15 out of 20 monster named Poring, you will be warped back to your save point. Get rid of the arrows left in your inventory before speaking with Teardrop. He will provide you again with 100 arrows.

7. The second part of the ranger job change test is how much you use the trap efficiently. The traps are actually Bombring Capsules which summons Bomb Porings. Upon warping to the second part of the test, a broadcast would be made telling you about the test. You have to reach the other side of the map where the Test Supervisor Kowsyun is within 3 minutes. After the broadcast, use all the buffs that you have - such as Wind Walk, Improve Concentration before speaking with Staff Rust. He will be provide you with 10 Bombring Capsules, 100 Novice Potions and Pile of Papers which will make you 91% overweight that disable you to use any skills.

8. The monsters are Madragora, Flora, Nepenthes, Parasite, Georapher and Muscipular - all range monsters. Do not rush. The first one is easy, go between the Madragora and Flora and summon 1 Bomb Poring. All Bomb Porings will chase you for one second and then stay in position to detonate within 3 seconds. The Bomb Porings have 5×5 range so you have to get out of the way as well or else you’ll die. The next phase is of 4 Floras and a Parasite. Lure the Parasite near the Flora and summon a Bomb Poring. You might loose some HP and use the Novice Potions. Slowly, navigate your way near the Nepenthes then summon another Bomb Poring. Next monsters are Parasite, Geographer, Mandragora and Muscipular. Summon a bomb poring as well. You are actually near Kowsyun as broadcasts.

You need not to kill all the monsters, you just have to make you way exactly at the back of to Kowsyun to activate the popup message. Just get rid of the Parasite as it shall follow you. She will take all the pile of papers from you and warp you to the Test Supervisor Freeze.

If you fail this test, you will be back on your save point, still with 91% overweight. Go back to Turtle Island speak with Teardrop and he will take away the pile of papers from you and provide you again with 100 Arrows. You have to repeat from step no 6

9. Speak with the Test Supervisor Freeze and you shall learn that the third test is how you well you can handle an animal such as wolf. If you don’t talk to him in 2 minutes and get started the 3rd test, the test automatically ends and you fail. The test is you have to remove a bomb using the given wolf to receive points. You have to remove 10 out of 20 bombs within the time limit of 3 minutes. You will receive a Job Change Flute to summon the wolf. Use the flute and you shall summon a Baby Desert Wolf.

Speak with Freeze again, if you are ready to take the test and you will be put into a Stone Cursed state disabling your movements. The bombs are actually egg bombs. Use the alt key to control your Baby Desert Wolf to kill the bombs. If you passed, you will be warped back to the Ranger Master.

If you fail, you have to start all over again from step no 6.

10. Speak with the Ranger Master and he will ask you to cancel your falcon and use all of your job skill points. Choose I am ready if you are ready to become a Ranger. He will ask you one more time and if you want to change job into a ranger and answer him yes. He will turn you into a Ranger and you shall receive 1 Sniper Goggle [1], 1 Green Apple Ring, and 1 Wolf Flute as part of your ragnarok ranger job change test. You can get out of the test area by speaking with the Ranger Master and tell him Please let me be out. Congratulations for finishing the Ragnarok Ranger Job Change Quest!

The Wanderer Job Change Quest is easy. The challenging part of this Wanderer Ragnarok Quest is killing those Yellow Novos, but it’s fun though. With just the right amount of pots and spirit, you would be able to finish this quest. Also, i find the Ragnarok Wanderer Job Change Quest cute because there’s a performance in Lutie at the end of it. Also, your name would be announce throughout the whole Lutie town.

1. Start the Wanderer Job Change Quest by speaking with the Aspiring Wanderers (xmas 161, 209) named Soy and Mimi in Lutie. They will introduce you to the best wanderer in the world which is Kim. Ask them Where is the performance.

2. You can find the Performance Manager (lutie 132, 143) near the Christmas tree. Talk to him and he secretly informsyou that he has a huge problem as Dancer Kim has quit and decided to disband the group. Just enter anything when he asks you a question. Agree to find and inform the Ministrel Guitar Song.

3. You can find the Ministrel Guitar Song on the top floor of Comodo Casino. He is the Cheerless Minstrel (comodo 139, 86). You do not need to go inside the casino, you will be able to reach him if you walk near the entrance of the casino. Answer That’s a weird song and ask him Where is Dancer Kim. He would hesitate to tell you the story, but talk to him again and use Kiss of Fortune. You will then learn from him that Kim might be in Hugel. If you have not learned Lady Luck, selecting “Scream” has a low chance to advance the quest.

4. Board the airship in Juno and go to Hugel. Find Kim inside the a house in Hugel town(hugel 153, 149). She is the Vacant Looking Lady. You will learn the story from her why she left. Cheer her up and tell her not to give up. Agree to work with her and she will ask you to meet her up in Abyss Lake.

5. Go to Hugel field 5. Make Hugel your save point first as you may die in the next part of the quest. Carry some potions as well. From Hugel town, exit the south portal and go left. You will find Dancer Kim(hu_fild05 342, 130) right away as soon as you enter the map. She will challenge you to defeat 50 Novus within 10 minutes.

6. Kill 50 yellow novus. The best arrow to use is Oridecon arrow. While killing the novus, you would be able to read Dancer Kim challenging you. Also, do not worry about your kill count as you may be able to read it on your chat bar.

7. Upon killing 50 yellow novus, speak with Dancer Kim again in hu_fild05 and she is inspired to dance again. She asks you to inform her partner Ministrel Guitar Song in Comodo.

8. Go to Comodo and speak with Ministrel Guitar Song. Tell him that the show is now pushing through.

8. Head back to Lutie and walk near the Christmas tree. Dancer Kim and Ministrel Guitar Song and also some audience will appear. Speak with Dancer Kim and the show starts. At the end of the show, Dancer Kim will turn you into a Wanderer and introduce you throughout Lutie. You will receive 1 Dying Swan [1] that you can wear when you turn base level 100 and 1 Green Apple Ring as part of Ragnarok Wanderer Job Change Quest rewards. The show ends and the performers will disappear.

The Royal Guard Job Change Quest is one of the easiest job change quest. You just need to talk to several NPCs and that’s it. The most difficult part is obtaining those 100 Burning Hearts. But you may be able to buy them or get them within a matter of hour if you are leveling with the Magmarings. The Ragnarok Royal Guard Job Change Quest can be finished within 30 - 60 minutes.

Ragnarok Royal Guard Job Change Quest

1. Start the Royal Guard Job Change Quest by entering the Prontera castle and speak with Middle-aged Gentleman (prt_castle 48, 161). You need to get off your Peco Peco before he speaks to you. Upon entering the Prontera castle, go two portals to the north then head to the west portal to the second room. Ask hm who he is and he will introduce himself as Hainrich. He will also ask you what is the key of being a royal guard, you can choose any option as they are all correct. Speak with him until he ask for you to give him 100 Burning Hearts. Give him the item and he will tell you about the details of his research. Be interested and ask if you can go and investigate the traces.

2. The traces is inside the Glast Heim castle which you can learn if you open the Quest Window (Alt + U) Go to Glast Heim Churchyard and walk straight to (gl_church 156, 102). A popup dialogue would be activated and mini marks would appear on your map.

3. Go to one of the place as marked on your mini map. Click on the Delicate Trace until you get a piece of clothe of a saint. You will get stones on your failed attempts. After 3 attempts and you haven’t found the piece of clothe yet, the delicate trace would deactivate. You could either go to other locations or you could wait until you could excavate again. I have waited.

4. Go back to Hainrich in Prontera Castle. Again, you have to get off your peco peco when speaking with him. He will take the clothe from you and be surprised that you get it. He will give you the Shield of King which you can read the text inscribe on it when you open the Quest Window ( Alt + U )

5. Go back to Glast Heim and click on the Thought of Schmidt (glast_01 240, 367) A conversation will ensue and answer that you are willing to be a Royal Guard. Congratulations! You will become a Ragnarok Royal Guard. You shall receive 1 Dip Schmidt Helm [1] and 1 Green Apple Ring as your Ragnarok Royal Guard Job Change Quest rewards. So easy, right?!

Ragnarok Guillotine Cross Job Change Quest Guide

Finishing the Ragnarok Guillotine Cross Job Change Quest took me a day as I need to wait an hour and then 3 hours and some 10 minutes. The Ragnarok Guillotine Cross Questis fairly easy but tedious as you have to talk to several NPCs and wait for some time before proceeding to the next step. I wish they remove the waiting time though, I see no sense over it.

1. Start the Guillotine Cross Job Change Quest by visiting the pub in Morroc (morroc 45, 107). Once inside speak with the Guild member. Tell him your name and agree to his request. He will direct you to Veins.

2. Board the Airship in Izlude and exit in Rachel. Speak with the Cool Event Corp Staff at the Middle of Rachel to warp in Veins. Make Veins as your save point to make it easier for you to do the preceding steps. Go to the Guillotine Cross Assassin Guild headquarters (veins 254, 255) and speak with Daora inside. Choose the … option and she will give you a task but first you need to hear a more detailed story of it.

3. Go down and enter the left portal at the next room to speak with Mayshell. As her what the task is.

4. Go back to Daora and keep asking her to give you 1 glass until you get the option for you to ask for her help. The advice of Doara is attached to the quest information.

5. Talk to the Vigilante (veins 291, 214) outside. Ask him Do you know Trovan?

6. Go inside a building (veins 230, 162) and speak with the Young Merchant inside. He’s on the left side of the room. Ask him Do you know Crave?

7. Go to the Veins Inn (veins 148, 216) and speak with the Waitress Madelle on the south part of the room. Ask her You are… then answer Their residence is unclear.

8. Go outside and speak with the Peddler (veins 184, 142)

9. Just south of the Peddler is the Old Man(veins 231, 125). Speak with him as well.

10. Go back to the Assassin Guild and speak with Daora. Ask for a glass and then choose Figure out based on information that you gathered. Choose The residence is unclear then Madelle witness are more than 2. Speak with Daora again and ask for a glass then get an advise. You have a heart to heart talk with her and she will direct you to find Melissa as your next step in Ragnarok Guillotine Quest.

11. Melissa(veins 226, 180) is a girl that has an overall view of the village. She can find anyone for you. Tell her you have lost a friend and ask her if she knows something. Choose Ok, let me do it? Then describe the one you are looking for as a girl, has light yellowish hair color, and young as you. She names the one you are looking for as Estillda. She tells you that this girl will pass around a blind alley within an hour. Give Melissa a thumbs up.

12. Go back to Daora in Assassin’s guild and she asks you to wait on an alley where Estillda shows up usually so you can question her.

13. After an hour, wait in an alley in the upper right corner of Veins to trigger a conversation. Some say that if you walk to that area while cloaked, you have a high success rate of catching Estillda (veins 341, 286). Do not uncloak during the dialogue, it will end and this will register as a failure. It took me 3 tries before I can finally catch her. Make a surprise attack on Estillda and if you are lucky, you will catch her. If not, you have to wait for 10 minutes, walk over to that area again to trigger the attack. Once you finally catch her, ask her who sent you? and then ask her to meet in Daora’s pub.

14. Continue the Ragnarok Guillotine Cross Job Change Quest by returning to Daora and ask for a drink again and tell her about Estillda.

15. Go down the room and then enter the portal to the right. Speak with Estillda and her if she’s ok. Ask her what she knows. She tells you about a place where she usually meets the strange guy and that she will meet him after 3 hours.

16. Go to the south part of Veins (veins 206, 55) after three hours. A chat would be triggered then choose Go inside.

17. Inside, you will meet a man in black clothe which apparently is a Dandelion member. Walk straight to him to trigger a conversation and a battle will ensue. You have to kill him which is very easy although he has high HP. He will drop a Pope Cookie that you can enjoy.

18. Click on the dead Dandelion and you will obtain Key of the Mansion. Click on him again and you will be automatically warped out of the room

19. Warp to Rachel and speak with Girke (rachel 115, 76) as the next step of Ragnarok Guillotine Cross Quest

20. Go to (rachel 61, 37) and enter the building. Talk to Oresa Rava and choose I have a story.

21. Go back to the Assassins Guild in Veins and speak with Mayshell. She’s the one on the inner left room. Give the key to her and you will learn that the key is for a villa of a newly appointed official in Veins. A helper awaits you on the entrance to the Villa

22. Restock your potions before proceeding the Guillotine Cross Job Change Quest. Bring a weapon and protection for a monster which is Large size, Demon race, and Undead element. There are actually two options to the entrance of the Villa. Option 1 is in Veins Field 2. From Rachel, enter the south portal and the Girl (ve_fild02 330, 384) who will assist you is in the upper right side of the map. Option 2 is in Veins Field 5. Exit north of Veins and you will be in ve_fild06. Just try exiting the portal through the upper right to reach Veins field 5. The Girl (ve_fild05 328, 308) is in upper right side part of the map as well. Speak with the Girl and you have 10 minutes to complete your task and she will meet you up at the back of the mansion.

If you die on this part of Ragnarok GX Quest or fail to finish it within 10 minutes, return to the girl again. Speak with her and she will ask you to wait for another 5-10 minutes to strike again.

23. Once ready, you will be warped in an underground mansion. Guard dogs and dandelions are present guarding the mansion. Cloaking really helps a lot here although the guard dogs can see you. Upon reaching the underground mansion, head to the upper right side to reach the Barbed-Wire Entanglement. Walk near that area to trigger an option. Choose Climb into that space

24. You will reach the other side of the wall, just walk straight and upon reaching the farthest side of the lot then go south until you see the back door. Walk through that door. It’s kind of tricky as the door seems close but you can actually get through it. You will meet the priest from Rachel NPC. Walk towards him to trigger a conversation, he will turn you into a monster which you have to defeat.

26. Upon defeating the monster, he will drop a Pope Cookie which you can enjoy again. Go outside immediately at the farthest upper right side of the map where the gate is and Renzak would be waiting. She will automatically warp you back to the Assassin’s Guild

27. Head to the left room and speak with Mayshell again. She will grade your Ragnarok GX Quest performance. The grade is from A-F. If you receive a grade of A, B or C, you will receive a Jewelry box as a GX Job Change reward. She grades you based on how many times you asked for help from Daora, how many times you died. I got myself a B and I asked Daora [as specified on this Ragnarok GX Job Change Guide] and i die 2x battling the final NPC.

28. Exit the Mayshell’s room and go to the right room. Speak with Bercasell. Tell him you want to be a Guillotine Cross and change your job. He will turn you into a Ragnarok Guillotine Cross. You shall receive 1 Green Apple Ring, 1 Silent Executer as your Ragnarok Guillotine Cross Job Change Quest reward. Congratulations!

2 BUG/UPDATES BY PLAYFISH, SO READ THIS FIRST:

The first is if you buy bait and then go catch a fish you will lose connection to the game and go to an error screen. To work around, you have to buy your bait, save the game and reload, and then go fishing.

The other is that the limit to the number of each cash fish has been raised from 5 to 50. Blech. Zoey may be 'fixing' that for next week if they don't address it soon.

Note: You may need to send 1-2 failed digs at the cash digging area since Playfish seems to hate us if we dig all 5 cash items out.

DIG ONE TREASURE, SEND 5 FAILED DIGS, DIG YOUR NEXT TREASURE. This does bring down the probability of getting suspended but yes, still not 100% suspension free. So use your secondary account to dig if you do not like to be suspended for 24 hours. (and yes, shovels will be used for failed digs to prevent the suspension hammer)

Basically, when you enter a digging land, those plots that has been dug = treasures. Do NOT keep clicking on such plots as we want to simulate digging failure. So you can still utilize all the free cash digs. Just remember to go to the coins digging area and send some failed digs.

Hey Pet Society Fans! The Holidays are just around the corner, which means Petmas in Pet Society is starting to wrap up. (Har har!) It’s been a festive past 3 weeks. We’ve had a blanket of snow cover our town, the opportunity to play with toys galore and even a festive toilet for the Holidays! What possibly could the amazing Pet Society team come up with next?! Well, let’s just say they’ve done it again! Santa Paws is comin’ to town! It will be a Merry Petmas indeed.

If you want Santa Paws to fill your stockings this year, you’d better pay our good friend “?” a visit in the Mystery Shop. He’s got loads of other festive goodies hidden amongst the piles of boxes. So use your secondary account to dig if you do not like to be suspended for 24 hours. (and yes, shovels will be used for failed digs to prevent the suspension hammer)

Padang food is the cuisine of the Minangkabau people of West Sumatra, Indonesia. It is among the most popular food in Maritime Southeast Asia. It is known across Indonesia as Masakan Padang (Padang cuisine, in English usually the simpler Padang food) after the city of Padang the capital city of West Sumatra province , it is served in restaurants opened by Minangkabau people in Indonesian cities. Padang food is ubiquitous in Indonesian cities, and is also popular in neighboring Malaysia and Singapore. The term "Padang food" is often used to designate the whole culinary traditions of Minangkabau people, however this term is seldom used in Minangkabau inland cities such as Bukittinggi that is also a culinary hotspot in West Sumatra and refer to it as Masakan Minang or Minangkabau food instead, since there is differences between Nasi Padang of Padang and Nasi Kapau of Bukittinggi.

Padang food is famous for its rich taste of succulent coconut milk and spicy chili.Among various cooking traditions within Indonesian cuisine, Minangkabau cuisine and most of Sumatran cuisine, demonstrate Indian and Middle Eastern influences, which is various dishes cooked in curry sauce with coconut milk, also the heavy use of spices mixture.

Because most of Minangkabau people are muslims, Minangkabau cuisine follows halal dietary law rigorously. Protein intake are mostly taken from beef, water buffalo, goat, and lamb meat, and also includes poultry and fishes. Minangkabau people are known for their fondness of cattle meat products including offal. Almost the whole parts of a cattle, such as meat, ribs, tongue, tail, liver, tripe, brain, bone marrow, spleen, intestine, cartilage, tendon, and even skin, are made to be Minangkabau delicacies. Seafood is popular in coastal West Sumatran cities, and most are grilled or fried with spicy chilli sauce or in curry gravy. Various of fishes, shrimp, and cuttlefish in also cooked in similar fashion. Most of Minangkabau food is eaten with hot steamed rice or compressed rice such as katupek (ketupat). Vegetables are mostly boiled such as boiled cassava leaf, or simmered in thin curry as side dishes, such as gulai (some kind of curry) of young jackfruit or cabbages.

In Padang food establishments, it is common to eat with one's hands. They usually serve kobokan, a bowl of tap water with a slice of lime or basil leaf in it to give a fresh scent. This bowl of water with lime in it should not to be consumed, however; it is used to wash one's hand before and after eating. If a customer do not wished to eat with bare hands, it is acceptable to ask for spoon and fork instead.

There are only a few steps to job change into a sura but the most challenging part is killing those 100 Desert Wolves which is not outside the entrance of the Ice Dungeon. I spent most of the time finding where those wolves are. Also, make Veins as your save point in this Ragnarok Sura Job Change Quest.

*Currently the Ragnarok Sura Quest is bugged starting at step 7. The warp directly goes to the Swordsman Job Change Quest*

Ragnarok Sura Job Change Quest

1. Start the Ragnarok Sura Job Change Quest by going to veins pub (veins 149, 218) and speak with Sludge Worm(ve_in 241, 128) inside. He’s so rude and he argues with the waitress and an Unknown Fighter will appear out of nowhere and breaks it up

To go to Veins, board the airship from Izlude and exit in Rachel. From Rachel, you can use the service of the Cool Voting Staff, Corp to go to Veins.

2. Head outside the pub and go inside a building (veins 128, 237). Go near the Fighter downstairs and a conversation will start. Speak with him again and tell him that You want to know more. He will ask you to go and kill 100 Desert Wolves as a test.

3. The best way to hunt Desert Wolves is outside the Ice Dungeon which is ra_fild1. From Rachel town, exit right then go 3 portals to the north. You may be able to make the map as a memo so if you die you could go back right away to continue the Ragnarok Sura Quest.

4. Go back to the Fighter in Veins and he asks you to go to the Valley of Abyss in El Mes Plateau at the southeast of Juno and meet his colleague Buddy.

5. Restock with potions as you have to survive a room filled with monsters in the next steps of the Ragnarok Sura Job Change Quest. From Yuno town, exit the south portal, then south again, then east and you will be in Juno Field 7. Speak with Buddy(yuno_fild07 254, 176) who is at the center of the map. He will warp you to the test area.

6. Enter the chat room to initiate the test. But if there’s people before you, you would have to wait.

7. The test is you have to survive a 5 minute in a room filled with monsters. The trick on this part of Ragnarok Sura Job Change Quest is to hide behind the top pillar and kill any monster that reach your area. Upon entering the test room, a large mob of Incubus, Rybios, Skeleton Prisoners and Zombie Prisoners will spawn. Another wave will spawn later, followed by a mob of Rideword. Finally, another mob of Incubus, Rybios, etc. will spawn.

8. After 5 minutes, Buddy will appear and kill the rest of the monsters and he warps you to his Master.

9. Speak with the Master and he changes your job into a Sura. Congratulations for finishing the Ragnarok Sura Job Change Quest! You shall receive 1 Blazing Soul [1] and 1 Green Apple Ring as your Sura Job Change Quest rewards.

The Ragnarok Geneticist Job Change Quest is easy and fun to do. The Geneticist Quest mostly all happens in Lighthalzen. Before doing the Genetics Quest, it would be nice if you have a Cart Revolution skill. Also, make sure you have done the Biochemist study course quests for alchemist and biochemist prior on doing this quest, as you won’t be able to do them again. Bring some healing potions and sp potions as you have to battle a mob of Poison Spores in a mini arena.

Ragnarok Geneticist Job Change Quest

1. Start the Genetics Job Change Quest in the Alchemist Guild in Al de Baran. Go inside and speak with the Alchemist Union Member(alde_alche 35,185) on the first floor. Choose Meet a Geneticist and he will direct you to Lighthalzen.

2. Board the Juno airship and head over to the Geneticist Guild (lighthalzen 54 132) in Lighthalzen and speak with Devries (job3_gen01 25,58) inside. Tell him you are also from Rune Midgarts. Suddenly, you are interrupted with noise upstairs and he will be stressed out. The only thing you can do to calm him down is to bring him some cookies

3. Head upstairs and on the northern part of the room, click on the Delivery Box (job3_gen01 81,72) and choose Open the box and Take a cookie.

4. Go back downstairs and hand Devries a cookie and tell him you want to be a geneticist. Talk to him until he asks you to conduct experiments on plants.

5. Click on the cabinet and read the Plant guide. It’s a short read and it would be nice to read them all but you only need to read the Plant option.

6. Acquire all the plants on the first floor as an ingredient.

5. Inject it into a Testing Seed

8. Give the seed to Devries and he will experiment on it. If you fail, you have to repeat from step 6. If you succeed, he will recommend you to the Alchemist Union Member but it will take some time so he’ll ask you to meet Demi Calberine instead.

9. Upstairs, talk to Demi Calberine (job3_gen01 91,48). She seeks your help of finding some parts for the ordered mini canon that needs to be delivered that day. She needs 10 of them

10. Click on any of the Scattered Parts all over the second floor until you get 10 parts. There are 6 locations of the scattered parts, all in the second floor. When you get 10 of them (it will not appear on the inventory) you’ll get the message I think i’ve gathered all the parts.

11. Give the parts to Demi Calberine and she will show you a good training spot for the mini canon (Cart Revolution). She will then warp you with the Poison spores cage on the first floor.

12. Kill 100 Poison Spores. If you die or exit the pen, you can talk with Demi Calberine again to enter the cage. It is not necessary to use the Cart Revolution skill.

13. Once you killed 100 poison spores, click on the warning sign (job3_gen01 18 39) to exit the cage.

14. Remove your cart as you are about done in the Genetics Job Change Quest. Speak with Devries until a response from the Alchemist Union Member has arrived. After reading the letter, he will change you into a Ragnarok Geneticist. Congratulations! You get 1 Midas Whisper which you can wear if you turn base level 100 and a Green Apple Ring

The Ragnarok Shadow Chaser Job Change Quest is one of the toughest quest as you have to kill 3 monsters. Killing them is easy, but finding them is hard. What makes it harder is there are only one of a kind of these shadow chaser quest monsters. What if there are 10-50 players who is doing the shadow chaser quest? Also, what makes the Shadow Chaser Job Change Quest harder is the encrypted message that you have to figure out, but I got that covered for you.

Ragnarok Shadow Chaser Job Change Quest

1. Start the Shadow Chaser quest in Morroc. Speak with a Girl (morroc 156, 70) and he will tell you about the Shadow Chasers.

2. Head over to the Rogue guild (cmd_fild07 196, 117) and speak with the Scary Man (in_rogue 379, 101) downstairs. He invites you to seek treasures. He will teach you how to decrypt a message.

He gives you the following code to translate:- which means shadow atelier in prontera. In some server the code he gives you is shadow workshop in prontera

Rogue Guild in Comodo (Morocc -> Comodo Beach Pracos)

3. The hidden code leads you to a Prontera building (prontera 269, 110) Head to the second floor and speak with the manager.

Show the deciphered code and enter the decrypted code.

He then introduced himself to you and asks you to find a treasure. Give it a try and he’ll give you another encrypted code which translate to blue fire in turtle island third floor or in some server blue fire on turtle island third floor

How to decrypt the code

A equals to 1, B equals to 2, C equals to 3 and so forth. The key means the number to be subtracted in order to get the right letter.

4. Bring some potions with you. Make sure you have finished the Turtle Island Quest then ride your way to Turtle Island 3. The blue flame(tur_dun03 38,208) is in the upper left part of the map. Enter the deciphered code and it needs you to kill the Shadow of Deception.

5. The shadow of deception is in the same map but there is only one of it. It looks like a Wind Ghost. It doesn’t hit that much but it has a very high hp. Because of the aggressive monsters, it would be wise to lure it in a corner. Also, the hide skill works wonders on this part to hide from the turtles.

6. Upon killing the monster, return to the blue flame and you will be automatically warped in a secret room.

7. Continue the Shadow Chaser Quest by clicking on the shell and choose either option. You uncover the words DECEIVE, followed by a number key, and finally, a combination of letters. Click on next and the word honesty is shown and you need to input some code. When you enter the correct answer, the box opens and there is a small key inside. You get the key of Deception

8. Click on the Blue Flame again and choose Go outside to exit, you will be warped back to Turtle Island Dungeon 3

9. Go back to the Manager in Prontera and show him the key but he can’t figure it out. He tells you that there is more galleries of this one in Juno and Rachel. He suggests that you checked on the Rachel gallery.

10. Enter the building in Rachel(rachel 180, 118) and walk downstairs. Speak with the Manager(ra_in 168, 65) at the basement and tell him you were sent by Graham. Paul solved the code and show you the codes. Tell him I have no clue, then answer Yes. The Manager will explain you the clue and the clue leads to Ice Dungeon and Lighthalzen. He will then give you a code in the end. This code might change if you talk to the Manager again. Make Rachel as your save point area as you have to go back here.

11. The first set of code is [ R-E-N-N-N-D ]. This means from Rachel, go east then 3 north and you shall reach the Ice Dungeon. Head over to Ice Dungeon 2.

12. Find the Red Flame(ice_dun02 206, 223) in the northwest area. Click on it and it shall challenge you to hunt for shadow of delusion.

13. The Shadow of Delusion/Illusion looks like a Skogul, but with high HP. There are a lot of aggressive monsters in the dungeon, so lure it into a corner. Also, there is only one Shadow of Delusion in the map for the Shadow Job Change Quest

14. Upon killing the Shadow of Illusion, click on the Red Flame and you will be automatically warped in a secret room.

15. Click the box at the center o the room, and it will ask you to enter a number. This is based on the last code the manager in Rachel gave you. Upon entering the correct number, you shall receive the Key of Illusion. Clicking Next will lead you back to the Ice Dungeon 2.

16. Go back to the Manager in Rachel to continue that Ragnarok Shadow Chaser Quest and tell him you found a key. The Manager tells you to request an assistance from a young guy in Juno named Haled. If he does not want to participate, tell him I know what you did last summer!

17. Enter the building (yuno 275, 67) in the southeast of Juno. Proceed to the basement and speak with the Manager Haled(yuno_in 167,129) Tell him I know what you did last summer! He will give you assistance and he will give you a poem that will lead you towards Nifflheim. Make Juno your savepoint.

18.Go to Nifflheim (Morroc ->Comodo ->Umbala -> exit the North Portal) and find the Red Flame (231, 275) It is under a hut so it would be obscure from your view. Click on it and it will ask you to handle the Shadow of Pleasure

19. The next task in the Ragnarok Shadow Chaser Job Change is to find the Shadow of Pleasure within the map. It is a Sucubus but with high HP and kill it.

20.Upon killing the Shadow of Pleasure, go back to the Red Flame, and click on the box at the center. The box will say some numbers which translates to TURN AND SHAKE. Then you will be given a series of options. Choose the option turn the house and then, roll it to upside down. You will get the Key of Gaiety. Click on the box again to go out.

21. Go back to Haled in Juno to continue the Shadow Chaser Job Change Quest and show him your three keys. He tells you to go to Lighthalzen with the keys.

22. Head over the Shadow Guild in Lighthalzen (lighthalzen 41, 55) and speak with the manager Vicente. Show him the three keys and he leads you to the Thanatos tower.

23. From Yuno, go to the Thanatos Tower and head over the center portal (tha_t01 149, 224) of the spiral cases at the north part of the map.

24. You will be warped in a secret room. Click on the statue at the center and you shall receive A Master’s Brush.

25. Head back to Vicente to Lighthalzen and hand over the brush. You can choose any of the options. You are mad that you only got a master’s brush but Vicente tells you that this is worth something. He asksfor you t go inside with him with the man who has been looking for this brush for a long time

26. Go upstairs and speak with Dumk (70, 66). He will tell you about the importance of this brush. Tell him you found it with your friends and finally ask him to change you into a shadow chaser. Congratulations! You are now a Ragnarok Shadow Chaser. You shall receive 1 Shadow Handicraft [1], 1 Green Apple Ring, and 1 Paint Brush as your Ragnarok Shadow Chaser Quest rewards. You will keep the master brush as well.

Galungan is a Balinese holiday that occurs every 210 days and lasts for 10 days. Kuningan is the last day of the holiday. Galungan means "When the Dharma is winning." During this holiday the Balinese God visit the Earth and leave on Kuningan

Occurring once in every 210 days in the pawukon (Balinese cycle of days), Galungan marks the beginning of the most important recurring religious ceremony that is celebrated by all Balinese. During the Galungan period the deified ancestors of the family descend to their former homes. They must be suitably entertained and welcomed, and prayers and offerings must be made for them. Those families who have ancestors that have not yet been cremated, but are still buried in the village cemetery, must make offerings at the graves.

Although Galungan falls on a Wednesday, most Balinese will begin their Galungan 'holiday' the day before, where the family is seen to be busily preparing offerings and cooking for the next day. While the women of the household have been busy for days before creating beautifully woven 'banten' (offerings made from young coconut fronds), the men of our village usually wake up well before dawn to join with their neighbours to slaughter a pig unlucky enough to be chosen to help celebrate this occasion. Then the finely diced pork is mashed to a pulp with a grinding stone, and moulded onto sate sticks that have been already prepared by whittling small sticks of bamboo. Chickens may also be chosen from the collection of free-range chickens that roam around the house compound. Delicate combinations of various vegetables, herbs and spices are also prepared by the men to make up a selection of 'lawar' dishes. While much of this cooking is for use in the offerings to be made at the family temple, by mid-morning, once all the cooking is done, it is time for the first of a series of satisfying feasts from what has been prepared. While the women continue to be kept busy with the preparations of the many offerings to be made at the family temple on the day of Galungan, the men also have another job to do this day, once the cooking is finished. A long bamboo pole, or 'penjor', is made to decorate the entrance to the family compound. By late Tuesday afternoon all over Bali the visitor can see these decorative poles creating a very festive atmosphere in the street.

On Wednesday, the day of Galungan, one will find that most Balinese will try to return to their own ancestral home at some stage during the day, even if they work in another part of the island. This is a very special day for families, where offerings are made to God and to the family ancestors who have come back to rest at this time in their family temple. As well as the family temple, visits are made to the village temple with offerings as well, and to the homes of other families who may have helped the family in some way over the past six months.

The day after Galungan is a time for a holiday, visiting friends, maybe taking the opportunity to head for the mountains for a picnic. Everyone is still seen to be in their 'Sunday best' as they take to the streets to enjoy the festive spirit that Galungan brings to Bali.

The Surprising Wealth and Success of Japan

What is the difference between a developed society that has remained in an economic slump for 20 years and one with steady prosperity for the same period of time? The answer is not clear. But that question dogged my mind in a recent two week visit to Japan after a gap of 20 years.

The Japan of today is amazingly prosperous. The first thing you notice is that it is spic and span clean: not a cigarette butt on a station platform; metro car floors you could eat off of; all new autos including many Mercedes and BMWs; endless flows of prosperous Japanese students and other tourists; ultra modern buildings everywhere; restaurants full of diners; Kobe beef at $250 or more a pound. In back streets of Tokyo and Kyoto, there is not a sign of poverty, dirt, or disease.

This picture of Japan is radically at odds with global expectations after decades of slow or non-existent economic growth and deflation. What is going on, and what can we learn from it?

Economists' definition of success is all about dynamic growth. So how has Japan created steady prosperity in recent years?

Japan has a per capita income comparable with the United States, but its 20-year growth rate has been anemic. Its birth rate is well below the average for developed nations, but its savings rate remains among the highest in the world. Consumption as a percentage of GDP is well below the United States. Its stock market remains stagnant and well below its historical highs. Its interest rate levels are as low as a negative rate in some cases.

But, after its property bubble burst about 1990, it largely avoided the excesses in housing markets and derivatives that caused the serious credit problems in the US in 2008. Its unemployment rate remains very low because its employment polices insure a job for almost all citizens. And, of course it is very different from all other developed nations in that it is still an island state home to 130 million people, 90 percent of whom are pure ethnic Japanese with few religious issues and minimal immigration.

How have they navigated these past two decades with such steady results? Despite a lot of political turnover they are still a monolithic society with a remarkable sense of togetherness. One small but telling example is that a large percentage of Japanese people start their days exercising either in public, or at home to the same TV hosts. (Is it possible that a nation that exercises together and works together stays together?) There is a much smaller gap between the highest paid and least paid than in the US; although, there is also less social mobility and less innovation and entrepreneurship than in the US.

It is generally easier to allocate more than less. But the Japanese seem to have done more with less by making their people reasonably happy despite fewer resources. This surely has roots in Japanese welfare, with its remarkably fair treatment of people of all ages and needs, and Japanese education, a world leader built on intensive early literacy lessons and a "distillation" methodology that identifies and caters to the best students. Throughout their education and lives, Japanese teamwork and collective good is stressed and rewarded. This all for one, one for all mentality is rare in today's world, but it serves Japan well.

Overall Japanese economic growth appears to have stalled in the last twenty years, and as a result its public debt has reached dramatic levels that would make American deficit hawks shudder. But unlike the United States, the Japanese own much of their debt, and their willingness to save through government bonds pays off in infrastructure investments in transportation and internet access.

Global headlines describe Japan as a sluggish basket case. But as Europe comes to grips with a common currency and fractured fiscal policies and the United States faces its own excesses, one has to wonder whether Japan may not have quietly, possibly even unintentionally, discovered a new way to manage its economy: a low-inflation system that sacrifices dynamism for steadiness.

The Japanese seem to have discovered that their national wellbeing can be achieved even with declines in relative economic prosperity. Their population seems to be willing to make shared sacrifices to maintain the elements of daily life that they consider most important: social harmony and order, safety and environmental health.

As the leading economists' definition of economic success is all about consistent growth, how come Japan has, under the radar, defied the odds and created steady prosperity in recent years without the harmful inevitable excesses of volatility that seem to come with a singular pursuit of growth? One thing that stands out immediately is low birth and immigration rates. How much of that is conscious policy based is not clear. Another thing that helps them it seems is that the Yen is not a reserve currency. Despite their domestic level of debt, the Yen has continued to get stronger. Another factor perhaps is that their banking system, despite its upheaval twenty years ago after their property bubble burst, and their savings rate remain strong and vibrant so that Japan is free from concerns about the actions of foreign lenders.

That said perhaps a deeper wider understanding of the current Japanese "success" and their apparently stable prosperity might inform some constructive new thinking elsewhere among the world's political/economic gorillas about their fixation on growth.

How to Make Kimchi

Kimchi (a.k.a. kimchee) is a raw, pickled vegetable concoction indispensible to Korean cuisine. Kimchi usually includes tiny fish or shrimp. Wanting a vegan version, I decided to learn to make it myself. I've found that this spicy fermented side dish is quite easy to make, and will keep for many weeks in the fridge, slowly growing tangier.

	There are many types of kimchi eaten in Korea. Baechu kimchi, the most common variety, is made with Chinese cabbage. To make a batch of baechu kimchi: 5 heads of Chinese cabbage 2-3 heads of garlic 3 cups of salt 2 cups of red pepper powder [see below] 1-2 knobs of ginger optional: chopped scallions or watercress, cubed daikon radish Red pepper powder (kochukaru in Korean), a coarse powder of chili pepper flakes, can be found in any store selling Korean foodstuffs. It is made from a pepper of medium heat. If using a hotter pepper, use less (but kimchi is supposed to be spicy)!
	Wash the Chinese cabbage well, remove the outermost leaves and trim off the root. Traditionally, the heads are split lengthwise, and made into kimchi in this form. I recommend cutting the cabbage into smaller pieces, as follows: After splitting lengthwise, cut out a bit of the solid mass near the root. Laying halves flat side down, make 3 lengthwise cuts along each half. Then chop widthwise into one inch wide sections.
	Place the chopped cabbage into a large bowl or basin. Take 2 cups of the salt and make a brine with 15 or so cups of water. Pour the saltwater over the cabbage, and mix well. Let this stand for at least one hour.
	Chop up garlic and ginger. The amount you use is up to you. I never use exact amounts...and I've always enjoyed the result, even if it sometimes comes out more gingery or garlicy or spicy than usual. The only thing you really need to make kimchi is the salt: since this is a raw food, a certain amount of salt is needed to pickle and preserve the cabbage.
	Mix the garlic, ginger, 1.5 or so cups of red pepper and the remaining 1 cup of salt with a half cup or so of water. Mix it well. Your mixing hand will start to tingle. Relish this sensation.
	Once the cabbage has soaked for an hour in brine, drain off all of the liquid, then rinse the cabbage and drain again well. Mix the paste from above into the cabbage. Add optional ingredients mentioned above, if desired. Mix it all up well, until the paste coats the cabbage evenly. Mix it up some more!
	Once it's thoroughly mixed, place the mixture into very clean containers. Fill containers close to the rim. If there is some red liquid left over, pour it into each container. You don't want any air pockets in the kimchi containers, and you do want the cabbage to soak in this kimchi juice.
	Clean off the lips of the containers, and put on lids. Do NOT tighten lids too hard. Let the containers sit at room temperature for 2-3 days, and as they begin to ferment, air will bubble out and containers may leak a bit. Traditionally, kimchi is put into ceramic crocks and buried in the earth. You can put yours in the fridge. At fridge temperature, it will continue to slowly pickle, getting more tangy with time. You did it! You made your own kimchi! Enjoy.

The Short-term Study Program (student exchange program) is a program in which international students take courses or conduct research at Chuo University for one semester or one year as an integral part of their degree program at their home institutions, transferring credits and/or academic achievements gained at Chuo University to their home institutions. The participants will be placed as full-time non-degree students at a specific undergraduate faculty or graduate school at Chuo University, according to the students’ major/minor at their home institutions.

The program consists of three components: educational program, intercultural program, and orientation program. In the educational program, students take Japanese language courses designed specifically for non-degree international students. In parallel with the Japanese language courses, the students take regular academic courses, which are generally taught in Japanese, throughout their study period at Chuo University, together with degree-seeking international students as well as Japanese students. In the intercultural program, students participate in various intercultural programs and activities on- and off-campus. In the orientation program, students participate in orientation programs which are designed to effectively facilitate the students’ adjustment process to Japanese culture as well as their readjustment process to their home cultures.

There will be JASSO scholarship for selected students. Universitas Gadjah Mada and Chuo University cannot guarantee that the applicants will be accepted by JASSO as grantees.

Yap, gue akan menjelaskan sesuatuu~ Yaitu.. Kenapa elo di Follow, dan kenapa elo di UnFollow.

Kenapa Elo Di Follow?

1. First of all, Ya karena lo adalah temen (baik) dari orang yang ngefollowlo itu.. entah temen sekolah, kuliah, kerja, dll.

2. Lo adalah orang yang terpandang ato dikenal.

Contoh: Artis, Pemain Band, Penyanyi, Pelawak, Magician, dll.

3. Lo adalah Duplikat dari orang yang terkenal yang ngetweet kayak orang terkenal tersebut dengan gaya melucu.

Contoh: @CincauLaura, @Adriesubonouloh, @JastinBibir, @WuidihVierra, dll

4. Lo adalah orang dengan banyak sumber informasi.

Suka share link, gambar lucu, video geblek, dll, dijamin bakalan di RT, dan orang bakalan ngefollow elo.

5. Lo cari sensasi.

Yaa.. seperti yang kita tau.. kasus Rana dan Marsha.. yaa.. gue ga ngerti kenapa malah jadi pada follow(mungkin pengen liat aksi selanjutnya) tapi kalo mau banyak difollow, silakan bikin sensasi ehehe.. Kalo mau tuh bikin sensasi yang positif, misalnya lo akan menyumbang ke panti asuhan sebesar 1 juta setiap 1 follower yang ngefollow elo.. itu baru good.

6. Lo beda dari yang lain.

Lo kadang ngetweet ini ngetweet itu yang kadang orang penasaran dan orang pengen tau, ada yang menarik dari elo. Sesuatu yang lucu biasanya bener-bener narik orang buat ngefollow elo.

Kenapa elo di Unfollow?

1. LO BERISIK.

Kalo kata anak g4uL twitter, lo itu BACOTERS. Alias ngetweet terlalu banyak dan pointless. Lo ngetweet ga jelas dan cuma sekata-sekata. "Laper." "boker ah" "ANJING!". Well, for me, i don't care about that, so dont you angry angry me if i unpollo yu.

2. RT Abuser.

Lo lebih suka nge-RT daripada nge-REPLY. Beberapa beralasan karena kalo ngereply, kadang kita nggatau terakhir temen kita itu ngomong apa. Well, ada benernya juga. tapi ga harus sampe kayak gini kali :

"Gue RT @blabla gue RT @bleble RTTT BANGETT RT @blable GUAA RT @bloblo siapa mau gue traktir?!"

itu dalam satu tweet. bodo amat gitu lhooo~ who cares.
RT itu lebih baik pas lo emang ada something nice yang pengen lo share, biar semua orang tau.

Kalo mau pake reply tapi biar ga bingung, taro lah belakangnya "Re: blabla". ga susah kan?

Tapi ini lebih ke siapa yang lebih penting buat nongol di timeline lo, entah temen sekolah, sahabat, artis dll. Kalo orang yang ga dikenal, menurut gue ngapain juga gitu, bagi gue malah rugi kalo gue kelewat tweet temen2 gue yang asik-asik.

Beberapa waktu yang lalu sekembalinya berbelanja kebutuhan, saya sekeluarga pulang dengan menggunakan taksi. Ada adegan yang menarik ketika saya menumpang taksi tersebut, yaitu ketika sopir taksi hendak ditilang oleh polisi. Sempat teringat oleh saya dialog antara polisi dan sopir taksi.

Polisi (P) : Selamat siang mas, bisa lihat Sim dan STNK ?
Sopir (Sop) : Baik Pak.

P : Mas tau kesalahannya apa ?
Sop : Gak Pak.

P : Ini nomor polisinya gak seperti seharusnya (sambil nunjuk ke plat nomor taksi yang memang gak standar) sambil langsung mengeluarkan jurus sakti mengambil buku tilang, lalu menulis dengan sigap.
Sop : Pak jangan ditilang deh. Wong plat aslinya udah gak tau ilang kemana. Kalo ada pasti saya pasang.

P : Sudah saya tilang saja. Kamu tau gak banyak mobil curian sekarang ? (dengan nada keras !!)
Sop : (Dengan nada keras juga) Kok gitu ! Taksi saya kan ada STNKnya Pak. Iini kan bukan mobil curian !

P : Kamu itu kalo dibilangin kok ngotot (dengan nada lebih tegas).
Kamu terima aja surat tilangnya (sambil menyodorkan surat tilang warna MERAH).
Sop : Maaf, Pak saya gak mau yang warna MERAH suratnya. Saya mau yang warna BIRU aja.

P : Hey ! (dengan nada tinggi), kamu tahu gak sudah 10 hari ini form biru itu gak berlaku !
Sop : Sejak kapan Pak form BIRU surat tilang gak berlaku ?

P : Ini kan dalam rangka OPERASI, kamu itu gak boleh minta form BIRU..
Dulu kamu bisa minta form BIRU, tapi sekarang ini kamu gak bisa. Kalo kamu gak mau, ngomong sama komandan saya (dengan nada keras dan ngotot)
Sop : Baik Pak, kita ke komandan Bapak aja sekalian (dengan nada nantangin tuh polisi)

Dalam hati saya, berani betul sopir taksi ini.

P : (Dengan muka bingung) Kamu ini melawan petugas ?
Sop : Siapa yang melawan ? Saya kan cuman minta form BIRU. Bapak kan yang gak mau ngasih

P : Kamu jangan macam-macam yah. Saya bisa kenakan pasal melawan petugas !
Sop : Saya gak melawan ? Kenapa Bapak bilang form BIRU udah gak berlaku ? Gini aja Pak, saya foto bapak aja deh. Kan bapak yang bilang form BIRU gak berlaku (sambil ngambil HP)

Wah … wah …. hebat betul nih sopir ! Berani, cerdas dan trendy.
Terbukti dia mengeluarkan HPnya yang ada kamera.

P : Hey ! Kamu bukan wartawan kan ? Kalo kamu foto saya, saya bisa kandangin (sambil berlalu).
Kemudian si sopir taksi itu pun mengejar polisi itu dan sudah siap melepaskan shoot pertama (tiba-tiba dihalau oleh seorang anggota polisi lagi)

P 2 : Mas, anda gak bisa foto petugas sepeti itu.
Sop : Si Bapak itu yang bilang form BIRU gak bisa dikasih (sambil tunjuk polisi yang menilangnya)

Lalu si polisi ke 2 itu menghampiri polisi yang menilang tadi. Ada pembicaraan singkat terjadi antara polisi yang menghalau si sopir dan polisi yang menilang. Akhirnya polisi yang menghalau tadi menghampiri si sopir taksi.

P 2 : Mas, mana surat tilang yang merahnya? (sambil meminta)
Sop: Gak sama saya Pak. Masih sama temen Bapak tuh (polisi ke 2 memanggil polisi yang menilang)
P : Sini, tak kasih surat yang biru (dengan nada kesal) Lalu polisi yang nilang tadi menulis nominal denda sebesar Rp.30.600 sambil berkata : Nih kamu bayar sekarang ke BRI ! Lalu kamu ambil lagi SIM kamu disini. Saya tunggu.
Sop : (Yes !!) OK Pak ! Gitu dong, kalo gini dari tadi kan enak.

Kemudian si sopir taksi segera menjalankan kembali taksinya sambil berkata pada saya:
“Pak, maaf kita ke ATM sebentar ya . Mau transfer uang tilang”.
Saya berkata : “Ya, silakan.”

Sopir taksi pun langsung ke ATM sambil berkata:
“Hatiku senang banget Pak, walaupun di tilang, bisa ngasih pelajaran berharga ke polisi itu. Untung saya paham macam-macam surat tilang”.

Tambahnya : “Pak kalo ditilang kita berhak minta form biru, gak perlu nunggu 2 minggu untuk sidang. Jangan pernah pikir mau ngasih DUIT DAMAI ! Mending bayar mahal ke negara sekalian daripada buat oknum”.

Dari obrolan dengan sopir taksi tersebut dapat saya infokan ke Anda sebagai berikut:

SLIP MERAH, berarti kita menyangkal kalau melanggar aturan dan mau membela diri secara hukum (ikut sidang) di pengadilan setempat. Itu pun di pengadilan nanti masih banyak calo, antrian panjang dan oknum pengadilan yang melakukan pungutan liar berupa pembengkakan nilai tilai tilang. Kalau kita tidak mengikuti sidang, dokumen tilang dititipkan di kejaksaan setempat. Disini pun banyak calo dan oknum kejaksaan yang melakukan pungutan liar berupa pembengkakan nilai tilang..

SLIP BIRU, berarti kita mengakui kesalahan kita dan bersedia membayar denda. Kita tinggal transfer dana via ATM ke nomer rekening tertentu (kalo gak salah norek Bank BUMN).

Sesudah itu kita tinggal bawa bukti transfer untuk ditukar dengan SIM/STNK kita di Kapolsek terdekat di mana kita ditilang.
You know what ? Denda yang tercantum dalam KUHP Pengguna Jalan Raya tidak melebihi 50ribu ! Dan dananya RESMI MASUK KE KAS NEGARA.
Form Biru – Anda Terima Kesalahan Anda
Jika anda ditilang di jalan sebenernya ada dua pilihan, form biru dan form merah. Form biru adalah kalo anda terima kesalahan anda (artinya anda gak perlu berdebat sama hakim). Dengan form ini anda bayar dendanya di BRI yg ditunjuk, setelah bayar denda resmi ke BRI, ambil SIM ato STNK yg disita ke kantor Ditlantas POLDA Metro di Pancoran, gedung baru, sebelum Gelael arah Cawang. Disini ada ruang khusus loket Tilang, ruang tunggu nyaman ber-AC, dengan hiburan Satellite TV.

Form Merah – Tidak Terima Kesalahan
Form merah artinya anda gak terima kesalahan anda, dan dikasih kesempatan untuk berdebat ato minta keringanan ama hakim. Biasanya tanggal sidang adalah maksimum 14 hari dari tanggal kejadian, tergantung hari sidang Tilang di PN (Pengadilan Negeri) bersangkutan. Contoh temen saya ditilang di cikokol tangerang, berarti sidang di PN Tangerang, jl aTMP Taruna, disini sidang tilang setiap jumat Nah oleh polisi, barang sitaan (SIM or STNK) akan disetor ke kantor satilantas itu sampai dengan H-1 tanggal sidang. Jadi selama masih di satlantas SIM/STNK itu bisa ditebus tanpa sidang ke PN, cukup ke loket yg gue sebutin tadi, serahin form merah, bayar dendanya, SIM/STNK balik dengan sukses.

Sidang , Denda Sampai Calo
H-1 tgl sidang dan seterusnya, SIM/STNK udah dikirim ke pengadilan sesuai daerah perkara, jadi kudu ditebus di PN masing2. Jika pengen hadir sidang, dateng sesuai tanggal sidang yang tertera di surat Tilang ke PN yg ditunjuk. Tapi ini tidak di sarankan. Kenapa ? karena antriannya luar biasa banyak, kita gak punya kesempatan bertemu hakim, karena sebenarnya sidangnya IN ABSENTIA, dan banyak banget CALO yang nawarin bantuan. Lebih baik cuekin aja tanggal sidang, ambil SIM/STNK terserah anda di hari lain, hindari hari sidang tilang biar gak rame, terus langsung tuju Loket khusus Tilang yang ada di masing2 PN. Tunjukin form merahnya, dalam 5 menit SIM/STNK udah di tangan anda dengan bayar denda resmi.

Jangan Damai, Tilang Jauh Lebih Murah Kok !
Kadang kala jika ditilang sering kali pengendara menjadi panik dan ujung ujungnya malah minta damai. Padahal bila dihitung hitung biaya damay bisa sampe 2-10 kali lipat denda tilang. Jadi sebaiknya ikuti saja prosedur resmi dan bayar denda sesuai tarif yang ditentukan, gak repot kok! Dan yang penting lebih murah !!!*****

Terasi, Indomie, dan sate ayam untuk sahabat…

Sebagai orang yang tumbuh di negara “Emerald of Equator” yang telah tumbuh bersama adat istiadat serta budaya Indonesia, begitu juga masakan Indonesia, tanpa kita sadari rasa, aroma, bentuk masakan Indonesia sudah terpatri dalam lidah, hidung, dan memori kita… ketika tinggal di Indonesia saya sendiri merasa bosan dengan masakan Indonesia, “ah bosan ama tempe, ah bosan ama nasigoreng… ah pengen ke KFC aja… ah pengen ke Hokben aja…atauwa ke sushi tei..” begitulah pikiran yang ada di kepala saya waktu itu… BOSAN DENGAN MASAKAN INDONESIA…

Tapi semua itu berubah, Alhamdulillah saya di beri kesempatan Untuk mengenyam pendidikan di Negeri Gingseng; Korea selatan selama 6 bulan untuk program pertukaran pelajar antara UGM dengan Universitas Kyung hee di Seoul

Seoul end of winter 2009 on February… saya tiba di Seoul ibukota negeri Gingseng Korea Selatan, negerinya para pertapa gunung (mount Hermit), siapa menyangka negara yang mereka sebut Dae Han Min Guk 대한민국　ini begitu bersih, tidak terlalu banyak kendaraan bermotor seperti di indonesia, khususnya sepeda motor, sejauh mata memandang hanya ada kendaraan roda empat, udaranya pun bisa dibilang bersih, pepohonan di pinggir jalan tertata rapi, tak terlihat juga adanya tiang listris serta kabel yang menjuntai, sehingga pohon tetap dibiarkan tumbuh seolah tak takut dipangkas untuk mempertahankan tiang listrik... selain itu pula daerah untuk pejalan kaki bisa dibilang luas mungkin ada selebar 5 meter untuk pejalan kaki dan itupun masih ada pedagang kaki lima yang menjual “tokpokki” (sejenis makanan yang terbuat dari tepung beras lalu dimasak serta disajikan dengan rasa pedas) atau warung “odeng” dan tak lupa kios kios kecil yang menjual “kimbab” 김밥di pinggir jalan, pada malam hari daerah ini menjadi daerah yang sibuk dikarenakan orang yang pulang dari kerja terkadang memilih makan di daerah ini

Di Seoul saya tinggal di Asrama yang di sediakan oleh pihak Universitas, letaknya di daerah Hoegi dekat dengan Hoegi Yog *perjalanan dari Asrama menuju ke Hoegi Yog hanya membutuhkan waktu 20 menit Jalan kaki... pada saat pertama kali datang, Korea menyambut saya dengan hawa dingin minus 10 derajat Celcius... begitu menurut laporan televisi pada saat itu, tak ayal bagai orang yang sudah terbiasa dengan suhu negara katulistiwa yang notabene paling rendah 22 derajat dan paling tinggi 40 derajat celcius, minus 10 derajat terasa amat sangat menusuk Hidung, akibatnya rasa dingin menusuk tulang menghantui saya dan tiap hari tidak bisa lepas dari tissue dikarenakan saya mengalami pendarahan di hidung karena udara dingin... bayangkan saja setiap hari saya harus menempuh 2 KM dari Asrama menuju kelas saat musim dingin, pakai jaket tebel, celana tebel, sarung tangan mirip petinju... tas dan sekotak tissue di tangan... tubuh saya yang “Sintal” ini menjadi lebih mirip Sapi gelonggongan berkat jaket dan baju musim dingin yang tebal tersebut, selain itu pendarahan di hidung saya lebih mendekati tidak normal karena darah terus mengalir, kata orang hidung saya habis kena tonjok.... dan tissue yang berwarna putih itu dengan cepat memerah karena darah...

Uuugh tidak nyaman memang, belum lagi pada malam hari dimana udara semakin menusuk, saya bisa menghabiskan waktu 2 jam di kamar mandi untuk sekedar mandi shower air hangat, dan menyalakan pemanas ruangan di suhu 25 derajat... suhu dingin ternyata juga tidak baik untuk kulit saya, betapa tidak kulit saya menjadi “besisik” kata orang jawa, yaitu timbul sisik sisik yang berupa kulit mati yang akhirnya memutih dan berkelupas... jikalau beruntung kamu bisa menariknya selembar kulit tipis mirip kulit ular, untuk mengindari ini... saya setiap pagi dan sore hari setelah mandi memakaikan lotion ke seluruh tubuh... capek memang

Belum lagi jika dihadapkan dengan makanan, pada awalnya saya pikir akan baik-baik saja dikarenakan makanan korea, memakai Beras sebagai makanan pokoknya, selain itu pula sebagai muslim, tentu tak masalah jika hanya makan sayuran dan memilih menu seafood sebagai sumber proteinnya, apalagi rasa “Kalbi Tang” mirip sekali dengan sup buntut di indonesia, tiap pagi sebelum berangkat ke Kampus saya sering mampir ke “mekjom” sebutan sebuah toko kecil yang menjual makanan di korea, dengan 500 won saya sudah mendapatkan sebuah nasi kepal berisikan daging tuna didalamnya “Camci Samgak kimbab” dengan 1000 won kita sudah dapat 2 biji dan itu cukup mengenyangkan hingga siang hari, lalu siang harinya menu macam bibimbab sering menjadi langganan saya... tentu kita tahu korea terkenal akan Kimchi sayurang yang telah dibumbui dan di fermentasi ini menjadi primadona di korea, seperti orang indonesia yang makan harus pake kerupuk, kimchi pun seperti itu, tapi saya BERSUMPAH tidak akan menyentuh kimchi lagi... dikarenakan ternyata perut saya tidak bisa menolerir kimchi dan berakibat pada “penyakit Toilet Lover” tiap 2 jam sekali...

Euforia akan makanan baru tersebut ternyata hanya bertahan 1 bulan untuk saya, pada akhirnya saya terserang homesick akan makanan indonesia, Tempe Goreng yang nikmat itu terbayang di lidah saya, sambal terasi yang biasa saya nikmati bersama lalapan itu menggelitik otak saya, opor ayam, gulai, gado gado... hingga nasi goreng... huufffh meski korea juga punya masakan Nasi goreng atau lebih di kenal sebagai “Bokkembab” tidak serta merta menghapus rasa kangen saya terhadap rasa nasi goreng indonesia, betapa tidak... nasi goreng korea hanya berbumbukan margarin, garam, dan kecap asin lalu di beri kacang polong... euuuugh~!!!!! Pokoknya kurang bumbu laaaah..... kurang pedes lah... SERBA KEKURANGAN GILAA~!!!!

Untungnya di asrama saya tersedia dapur umum yang bisa di buat memasak, aturannya cukup jelas, setelah masak dapur harus di bersihkan, jangan di kotori...

Di dapur asrama inilah saya mengenal Erina-chan (21) seorang gadis jepang yang belajar linguistik, lalu Tatyana (19) gadis ini berasal dari Rusia, Olya (22) seorang mahasiswi dari kazakstan, Roddick (23) mahasiswa dari China serta, Misumi (22) gadis keturunan korea yang menjadi warga negara jepang...

Pada awalnya saya hanya berbekal bahasa inggris dan bahasa jepang yang fasih, Erina-chan yang berasal dari Kyoto ini fasih berbahasa korea tapi tidak lancar berbahasa Inggris, Tatyana fasih berbahasa Korea dan Inggris, sedangkan Olya dan Roddick hanya bisa berbahasa inggris dan bahasa negara mereka masing masing

Dari kegiatan dapur inilah saya bisa tahu pribadi dan sifat teman teman saya tersebut, termasuk pengetahuan baru bahwa ternyata di kazakstan ada pula keturunan russia, sehingga tak ayal buat Tatyana dan Olya sering memakai Bahasa Rusia, sedangkan terhadap Misumi dan Erina saya lebih sering memakai Bahasa jepang,

Masih teringat seperti kemarin, kala itu saya masuk ke dapur asrama dan melihat Erina sedang memasak “Oyakodon” *masakan ini menurut saya lebih mirip telur orak-arik* seperti orang indonesia pada umumnya, tentu basa-basi jadi andalan untuk meperekat suasana, mulai dari berkenalan hingga Tatyana masuk ke dapur dan saya mengetahui erina tidak begitu lancar berbahasa Inggris sehingga Sistem obrolannya secara billingual, ke tatyana saya berbicara dalam bahasa Inggris, ke erina saya mentransasikan dalam bahasa jepang sedang Tatyana lancar dalam bahasa korea sehingga tidak begitu menjumpai kesulitan untuk berkomunikasi dengan erina

Jaring persahabatan kami berkembang, Tatyana mengenalkan Olya, dan Erina menggenalkan Roddick teman sekelasnya ke kami, dan saya bertemu Misumi saat memasak pada Minggu, dan hampir setiap hari sepertinya dapur menjadi basecamp kami mahasiswa di asrama yang suka memasak, sebenarnya sih bukan kami saja yang menggunakan dapur, tapi kebanyakan siswa lainnya hanya menggunakan dapur dengan praktis, exp mengambil air panas di dapur, membuat kopi, teh dan lain lain yang bisa dibilang cukup sederhana, sehingga oleh para “ajuma” atau bibi bibi penjaga asrama kami sering dibilang geng dapur..

Memasak di dapur asrama menjadi hal yang sering saya lakukan pada sore hari, meski hanya memasak nasi goreng dengan sambal botol abc yang saya beli dari warung halal dekat masjid di ittaewon, itu sudah cukup untuk mengurangi rasa kangen saya terhadap masakan Indonesia, tak jarang pula kami ber-enam saling bertukar dan saling mencicipi masakan negara masing-masing, mereka bilang mereka suka dengan masakan Indonesia yan saya masak, seperti nasi goreng terasi, tumis terong bumbu kecap dan terasi, mie goreng jawa, dan perkedel jagung

Hahaha hampir masakan saya memakai bumbu terasi, terasi atau bahasa inggrisnya “fermented Shrimp block” dan di negeri Jiran terkenal dengan nama Belacan ini punya bau yang khas dan menyengat, meski terasi yang di jual di Pasar Halal di Ittaewon kebanyakan buatan Thailan (kurang enak sih daripada terasi di jawa) tapi cukuplah untuk menghadirkan rasa seperti masakan Indonesia, bagi orang asing, masakan indonesia bisa dibilang DISASTER FOR NOSE *LOL betapa tidak bau terasi yang di hangatkan tentunya menguar hebat sampai seantero lantai 1 tempat dapur berada, dan pernah juga berulang kali saya dimarahi oleh Ajuma tentang bau terasi, tapi ujung ujungnya Ajuma tersebut malah ikut makan dan suka dengan terasi *ngikik kalau Inget pernah dimarahin abis-abisan*

Dari dapur inilah kemudian kami ber-enam menjadi akrab, meski berbeda kelas kami semua memiliki 1 persamaan, suka memasak... dan waktu sudah mencapai 5 bulan semenjak kami berkenalan, di akhir semester spring, ada sebuah acara di Kyung Hee, dimana seluruh pelajar pertukaran tiap negara bergabung dan membentuk team untuk menyajikan masakan negaranya masing-masing, saat itu saya di daulat untuk mengumpulkan mahasiswa Indonesia yang Kuliah di Kyung Hee, tidak sulit memang tapi hanya beberapa yang pandai memasak sehingga kami berembuk untuk membuat makanan yang gampang hingga terpilihlah, Sate Ayam dan Bakso... waktu itu team Indonesia terdiri dari saya, bli putu, Theosa, richo, Putri, Windy, Dahnia, mbak Wardah dan Mbak egga tugas mulai dari beli daging ayam, membuat bumbu. Beli arang, dibagi rata, dan pada hari H, saya bertugas sebagai Pembakar Sate *ternyata ada bakat tukang sate dari darah madura saya* LOL

Meski bau asap sate, meski bau arang... mencium bau sate yang dibakar dan dibumbui dengan bumbu kacang plus kecap manis membuat saya bersemangat, apalagi melihat teman saya yang lain sedang berusaha dengan giat, Roddick yang berada di Meja China tampaknya sedang mengulung adonan yang lebih mirip dengan siomay kalau di Indonesia, Erina dan Misumi sedang Serius memotong bahan sup di meja Jepang, dan tatyana serta Olya sedang sibuk menyiapkan kaldu masakan mereka di Meja rusia... selain Rusia, China, jepang dan Indonesia, masih banyak negara lain yang berpartisipasi, ada pula India, Kirkistan, prancis, Arab, Persia, Vietnam, Laos...

Pada Awalnya kami orang Indonesia tidak yakin bisa menang melawan masakan negara lain, apalagi masakan negara prancis yang terkenal akan kelezatannya, otomatislah kami maju begitu saja dengan hanya Sate Ayam dan bakso pada festival ini Sistem Penilaian berdasar poling dari masing masing kelas, jadi sekitar ada 35 kelas yang menjadi Juri untuk Masakan 12 negara peserta, hasilnya 19 suara berhasil di sabet oleh Indonesia dan membuahkan Hasil sebagai juara satu *alhamdulillah* saat itu semua teman menyalami kami semua, senang rasanya mengharumkan nama Indonesia meski hanya di kontest masak antar mahasiswa Internasional

Sore harinya, masih ada beberapa Sate dan satu Panci bakso saya bawa dari sisa Kontes memasak tadi, begitu Juga dengan Erina, Misumi, Roddick, Tatyana dan Olya, sebagai peserta kami hampir tidak bisa makan masakan kami sendiri, sehingga beberapa makanan yang masih tersisa di bungkus dan di bawa pulang,

Di Common room tempat kami biasa berkumpul, masing-masing dari kami mengeluarkan bekal makanan dan menikmati makanan tadi bersama dalam diam, entah tanpa disadari sudah hampir mendekati masa akhir pertukaran pelajar sudah 5 bulan kami bersama, dan mungkin hanya tinggal beberapa minggu lagi sebelum kami pulang ke negara masing-masing, entah siapa yang memulai, seseorang memecahkan keheningan lalu di lanjutkan dengan derai tangisan, tanpa sadar kami semua menangis, dan diri saya menangis dalam diam sambil mengunyah makanan, baru kali ini saya merasakan rasa masakan yang enak dan bahagia bercampur dengan rasa sedih dan air mata...

Sekarang, masing-masing dari kami sudah pulang ke negaranya, hanya email yang jadi alat penghubung antar kami ber-enam, saat membaca email mereka, Erina-chan selalu bilang kangen akan sambal terasi saya dan kemarahan Ajuma ketika kami menggoreng terasi, Misumi-san cerita bahwa dia menemukan toko yang menjual Indomie di daerahnya, Indomie itu mengingatkan ketika dia dan saya pergi ke Ansan, Roddick: sekarang ia berencana untuk membuka restoran cabang keluarganya, Tatyana : dia akan menggambil S2 di Harvard dan Olya akan segera menikah dengan pacarnya...

Rawon, Kluwek dan Batu???

Alkisah, saya yang tengah bertwitter ria ada yang bertanya @__ezy "kalo ada yang nanya rawon itu apa, gw harus bilang apa?" langsung saja pikiran saya wah kangen Juga dengan masakan ini, di rumah saya di Banyuwangi,

Rawon "adalah menu berupa sup daging dengan bumbu khas karena mengandung kluwek" (source http://id.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rawon ) atau sih saya lebih sering menyebutnya dengan East Javanese Black Caserole Beef Soup

euuuh, makanan apa itu, item banget njelimet, bleketrek????

hahahaha, itulah Rawon masakan khas daerah jawa timur, lalu apa yang menjadikan Rawon ini berbeda dengan masakan lainnya???

eeeh??? apa itu? batu? Gila aja ternyata Rawon bumbunya dari Batu??? *ngakak guling-guling,

memang Sepintas Biji Kluwak mirip sekali dengan batu seukuran kepalan tangan, Kluwak (di jawa Indonesia) atau Keluak (orang malaysia menyebutnya demikian) menjadi bumbu masakan untuk Rawon di Indonesia dan Ayam/babi buah keluak di negeri Jiran ini menjadi pelengkap untuk bumbu masakan
Kluwek berasal dari Biji Pohon Kepayang, daging buah pohon kepayang sendiri dirasa memiliki beberapa kandungan racun yang bisa membuat orang merasakan efek mabuk, *mungkin ini juga yang menjadi dasar suatu kalimat di Indonesia yaitu "mabuk kepayang"ternyata Selain pada daging buah kepayang ini di bijinya juga terdapat kandungan hydrocyanic acid, *inilah yang bisa membuat orang mabuk* di jawa, apalagi di jawa timur, sebelum di pasarkan atau di konsumsi, biasanya Kluwak di rebus dulu dalam air untuk menetralisir hydrocyanic acid yang ada di dalam daging Kluwak, setelah dibuka, daging biji Kluwak ini seperti aspal setengah kering atau mirip Opium setengah jadi dengan bau agak menyengat seperti bau tanah becek di hutan.

sebelum di gunakan, biasanya daging Biji Kluwak ini di haluskan hingga berbentuk pasta dan siap di gunakan

bagi yang tinggal di jawa timur, mungkin tak heran bisa menemukan Kluwak dengan mudah, hehheehe tapi bagi temen2 yang hendak mencoba memasak Rawon mungkin alangkah baiknya coba aja Resep *DISINI* ditulis oleh seorang Blogger Indonesia dengan memakai bahasa inggris, cocok lah buat di hadiahkan untuk orang asing
